PARENTS’ TEACHING GUIDE (PTG) FOR


LEARNERS WITH DISABILITIES
(GIYA HAN PAGTUTDO PARA HAN MGA KAG-ANAK)

SUBJECT/AREA: Numeracy QUARTER:3rd

I. Lesson Title Visualizes and orders numbers 1 up to 1000 in


increasing or decreasing order.
II. Lesson Objective At the end of the quarter, aided by a full verbal prompts
and minimal physical prompts with 80% accuracy, the
child will be able to do;
 Arrange order numbers 1 up to 1000 in increasing or
decreasing order.
III. LESSON STRATEGIES Demonstration, modeling, and verbal prompting.
IV. Lesson Materials  Number chart from 1-1000
 Activity sheet
 White board and white board marker if available if
not use any scratch paper.
V. Lesson Procedure Note: Please teach directly the skill/s to the child.
So as not to sensory overload them with too many
instructions.
A. Preparation Prepare the materials needed in the activity.
B. Presentation
 Show the number chart from 1 – 1000.

 Pick two any number and ask the child to identify


which is the largest number among the two and the
smallest.

 Let the child explain why he/she said it is the largest


and the smallest number using the number chart. In
this way, the critical thinking of the child will
exercise.

 If necessary, tap your child if he/she is out of focus.

 If the child got the correct answer, give him/her a


complement like clapping or say “very good” or “good
job”.

 Pick another number but this time pick three


numbers and ask the same question to the child.
C. Application Arrange me from smallest to biggest and vice
versa.
1. Write five different numbers.

2. Ask the child to arrange the five numbers in


increasing order

Ex. You choose 11, 9, 54, 40, 24

The child will arrange it increasingly. (9, 11, 24, 40,


50)

3. If necessary, tap your child if he/she is out of focus.

4. If the child got the correct answer, give him/her a


complement like clapping or say “very good” or “good
job”.

5. After the child arrange the five numbers increasingly,


now ask the child to arrange the five numbers
decreasing.

6. Prepare at least five sets of activity.

D. Evaluation Activity 1
