This task will be in two parts. Texts and Human Experiences
Part A. Students will be required to deliver a speech 20%
on their prescribed text and ONE related text of their
own choosing.
Part B : Students will complete an HSC type Reading
Task on the Common module – Texts and Human
Experiences where they will respond to questions
relating to a number of unseen texts under timed
conditions.

Notification - with all the details of the task- will be


issued in Week 6.

NB: Speeches will be held throughout week 8. All


students will be allocated into groups. Group lists
will be posted outside English staffroom before the
assessment starts.

compose a piece of writing + a reflection under exam
conditions.
Part B - Students will submit a polished piece of
writing + a reflection in response to a given
stimulus. The stimulus and the question for Part B
will be given out together with the notification for
this task which will be TWO weeks prior to the
assessment .
