Quiz # 2

1. Identify different social issues, needs and demands that should be considered in the
curriculum
learning and having a formal education is very important and as a teacher it is a very
heavy responsibility to be the bridge of learning of our students and provide them with the
knowledge appropriate based on their individual needs, and as a teachers you can't give the
right approach if you don't first know their individual learning issues and concerns. and let’s
go back to the question for me the learning issue that needs to focus on developing a learning
curriculum are the following (Socio-Economic Status of the students, Latchkey Kids,
Increasingly Mobile Society, Changing Cultural Mix/Ethnic Discord, Technological
Changes/Communication Skills, Mental Illness, Health Care/Sexual Activity) I believe that
these things are very important to be given consideration in developing an effective and
appropriate curriculum in today's generation.

2. Identify different skills, processes, values and concepts that are important to learn in each
subject
Being a teacher as an instructional leaders who plan for the implementation of a
curriculum, it is therefore important that they know how to teach different subjects. Possessing
a high level of pedagogical knowledge can bring the spark of learning inside the classroom.
Teachers should know different instruction planning models that consider the unique
characteristics and needs of yours children from various cultures and socioeconomic
backgrounds. It is important for them to select teaching methods, learning activities, and
instructional materials of resources appropriate to learners and aligned to the objectives of the
lesson.
3. Identify learner's need and issues that should be considered in the curriculum development.
There are many things that are important to consider in developing an effective and
appropriate learning curriculum so that as a teacher we can provide the knowledge and
education appropriate to their individual needs and so that they can have a positive perception
of learning. I will summarize the social/ learning issues and concerns that I first noted, first of
all is the Socio-Economic Status of students, A curriculum that respects the backgrounds of
poor children and allows more opportunity for application and integration that will break the
connection between poverty and school failure second is the Latchkey Kids, schools can
provide programs for latchkey kids like educational activities and hobbies, and also teach more
on home safety and security; after-school programs, recreation centers for neighborhood
youths. Third is the Increasingly Mobile Society, children moving from one school to another
is helped to adjust with the school’s curriculum; teaching children how to make friends and
accepting others who appear to be different. fourth is the fifth is the Changing Cultural
Mix/Ethnic Discord, racial and cultural changes/diversity in the school; multicultural
curriculum; learning of one’s and others ’culture, awareness of differences to help understand
one’s culture. Sixth is the Technological Changes/Communication Skills, less interpersonal
communication/interaction among children due to advancement of technology; integrating
technology in school curriculum, communication skills in curriculum; use of the mother-tongue
in communicating. seventh is the Mental Illness, children who experienced abuse suffer from
mental and emotional problems-curriculum that allows children to learn how to deal with
problems, provide an atmosphere that encourages self-expression and individuality; drug
education and lastly and the most relevant issue that needed to give consideration the Health
Care/Sexual Activity, relationship of health and learning; health programs in school - health
education, sex education. It is very important that we develop a learning curriculum so that we
can pay attention and provide the knowledge to our students according to their individual needs
and above all up to date to the interest of students today.
