     Apply simple present tense (to be) in a conversation of introduction

    Read this dialog.

    John: Good afternoon. Are you new here?


    Ingrid: Good afternoon. Yes, that’s right. My name is Ingrid Krause. You can call me
    Ingrid. I am the new graphic designer.
    John: Hello, Ingrid. It’s nice to meet you. I am John. John Martin. I am an accountant
    in the finance department here. I’m sorry, but are you not from here? Your
    accent is different.
    Ingrid: That is true. I am German, and I come from Munich.
    John: Oh, no wonder. So do you live here alone or with friends? I live in an apartment
    near office with some co-workers here.
    Ingrid: I move here with my family. I am married, and I have two children. They are
    both high school students. My husband also works for this company. He is an
    engineer.
    John: Really? Well, maybe you can introduce us later.
    Ingrid: Of course. Excuse me. I need to receive this call. Good to see you, John.
    John: Good to see you, too, Ingrid.
