PAINTING PROCEDURE

interior painting
* plaster should be minimally rough, not very smooth (use foam in plastering final touch)
1 wet concrete prior to application
2 skimcoat superfine max of 2mm only, use steel trowel 24 hrs drying time
* apply second coat after 30minutes to add thickness
3 sand with #100 & #180
4 latex primer 4 hrs drying time
* use patching compound for touch-ups
5 megacryl semi-gloss latex, two coats minimum 4 hrs drying time

exterior painting

1 apply joint compound, with meshtape/paper tape for gypsum bo24 hrs drying time
3 sand with #100 & #180
4 flat latex primer 4 hrs drying time
5 touchups & resanding
6 final coat of flat latex, 2 coats minimum 4 hrs drying time

woodstain & varnish


1 initial sand #100
2 apply pulatite
3 sand with #100
4 sand with #180
5 apply woodstain 4 hrs drying time
6 ligthsand with #180
7 apply sanding sealer 1 hr drying time
8 ligthsand with #180
9 varnish / polyurethane 12 hrs drying time
10 additional coat of varnish / polyurethane if required 12 hrs drying time

ducco painting
1 sand with #100
2 Lacquer primer 30 minutes drying time
3 Lacquer putty 1 hr drying time
4 sand with #180
5 1st coat of auto lacquer paint 1 hr drying time
6 spot putty & sand with #240
7 2nd coat of auto lacquer paint 1 hr drying time
8 spot putty & sand with #400
9 final coat of auto lacquer paint 1 hr drying time
10 clear gloss lacquer topcoat 1 hr drying time
Tiles
Prepare surface bed, clean properly.
Prepare the tiles
Inspect and segregate defective
Check shade & size
Dip tiles in water then stack vertically
wall tiles, immense for two hours in water
Lay-out and put guides
Install tiles
For thinset method
surface should be considerably level
dampen the surface slightly before applying the adhesive
apply pure adhesive using notched trowel at 45 degress angle max of 10mm
For drypacked method
dampen the surface slightly before applying the mortar
mix mortar 1 cement : 1 adhesive : 3 bistay
apply minimal amount of water just to dampen to mixture
apply mixture the surface
put adhesive under the tiles before application
Important reminders
Minimum tiles gap is 1 mm. Zerozero gap is not allowed.
double check slope for cr & exterior areas

Granite
GRANITE
cut granite using superthin diamond cutting disc
install granite using adhesive or using epoxy
aply top glue adhesive for joints, use same color as granite
grind corners using granite grinding disc (kaliskis isda)
polish corners using pva wheels (dry type method) #50, #100, #200, #400
polish corners using diamond polishing dics (wet type method) #50, #100, #200, #400
apply wax as a final touch

important reminders and guidelines


for granite with curve edge, edge corner connection should be at 45 degrees.
for grinding and polishing, use grinder with speed adjustment
no grinding should be done on the top of granite slab because original factory polish cannot be replicated

Waterproofing

1. Surface preparation, clean and smoothen surface, cut pipe stubout


2. Apply primer by roller or brush
3. Install membrane overlapping by 10 cm each, fold membrane into the inside of pipes
4. Flood test for 72 hours
5. Topping protection should be applied if tiles will not be applied immediately
