INCUBATION PROCESS, TYPES OF
INCUBATION CENTER.
1)WHY THIS PARTICULAR BUSINESS?
 The brilliant idea for her own lingerie
business came to light when Richa tracked
Victoria’s Secret’s sales, who was one of her
clients at SAP.
 She observed the lingerie sales figures
reached peaks overseas but, Indian women
were not provided with the similar innerwear.
 While Richa was studying the Indian
lingerie market, she realized the social
embarrassment in India surrounding lingerie
shopping. It was causing several problems for
women as well as retailers.
 Richa researched many lingerie stores
and found out that women were uncomfortable
buying inner wears as the stores had male
salesperson.
 In order to solve the issues, Richa came
up with Zivame!

MOTIVE:-
To help women understand their lingerie
needs and purchase them without any kind of
embarrassment.

2)INITIALLY CHALLENGES FACED

BY YOU IN STARTING THE
BUSINESS.

 Post the launch of the website, there were

questions raised on the image of Richa’s family in
the society. Her friends and family members
wondered if she had to admit she was selling bras
and panties on the web in the typical Indian
language.

 There were a lot of people who also made

fun of her business!

 Richa couldn’t even find a place on rent

because the landlords asked her what she was
doing and she had to tell them she sold clothes
online.

 Richa says,
If you are strong, focused and passionate about
what you want to do, everything falls in place.

3)SWOT ANALYSIS OF HER

ORGANIZATION
 STRENGTH:-
1. Non-Descriptive discreet packaging
2. Online Privacy
3. Fit consultants service
4. Premium brands are also available like
Enamor, Amante

 WEAKNESS:-
1. Tiring return policy
2. Supply chain management issues

 OPPORTUNITIES:-
1. International expansion
2. Tie-up with industry leaders
3. Introduce mens wear and add more
brands and verticles in women wear

 THREATS:-
1. Entry of new competitors as no barrier
to entry
2. High customer acquisition cost
3. Narrow product category
4)IF DIVERSIFIED ON OTHER AREAS,
THEN WHICH ARE THOSE AREAS?

 Now they are taking it ahead and

investing in a community that’s influencing
women in different ways. From their offline-
online stores to their new category launches,
all their innovations are driven by ideas that
weren’t thought of before.
5)ANY CONTROVERSY ASSOCIATED
WITH THAT ENTREPRENEUR.

 Every part of a start-up phase is

challenging and setting up an entire company,
being bootstrapped was challenging. Getting
all the brands on board without any money or
network was challenging but she guess
conviction in one’s belief is the greatest
driver. Doing all the paper work to set up a
company, getting the e-commerce backbone
ready, taking customer calls, packing and
dispatching at the same time was maddening
 While Richa was studying the Indian
lingerie market, she realized the social
embarrassment in India surrounding lingerie
shopping. It was causing several problems for
women as well as retailers.
6)FUTURE PLANS.
Our endeavor is to make every single
lingerie shopping experience count. We
want more and more women to shop for
lingerie online. The main focus is on
ensuring that more and more women
identify with the value that online offers
and decide to take a plunge with
Zivame. they also plan to open around
100 fit stores in major cities of the country
where no physical sales will be made but
customers can walk in and have a
personalized experience to gauge their
size, shape and order the kind of products
best suited for them.
7)PEST ANALYSIS
 POLITICAL:-
1. Change in legislation and taxation
effects on the company
2. Other political factors likely to change
for zivame branding options for an
online lingerie retailer

 ECONOMICAL:-
1. Change in level of customers
disposable income and its effect
2. Fluctuation in unemployment rate
and its effect on hiring of skilled
employees

 SOCIAL:-
1. Change in population growth rate
and age factors and its impacts on
organization
2. Effect on organization due to change
in attitudes and generational shifts.

 TECHNOLOGICAL:-

8)EXPLANATION IN DETAIL STARTUP

SCENARIO IN INDIA.

 Zivame is a leading online lingerie e-tailer

in India, born out of a vision to ensure that every
woman has access to quality innerwear in an
environment free from social discomfort. Founded in
2011, Zivame was conceptualized to change the
way women shop for lingerie, providing an inclusive
experience that every woman deserves. Though the
word lingerie is derived from the French word linge,
we wanted a brand name that our consumers could
identify with. Ziva in Hebrew means brilliance or
radiance and Ziva-me implies ‘radiant me’.
