Note: (I), (ii) and (iii) will remain the same.
(v) If super mast on fixed structurel mast is to be provided, the height of power line crossing to be
raised accordingly.
(vi) If the crossing is provided with a guarding, a minimum clearance of 2000 mm shall be
maintained between the bottom of the guard wire and highest traction conductor.
(vii) Clearance "at fixed structu;e" are to adopted if the OHE structurelfixed structure
is within 6000 mrrrof nearest conductor of overhead crossing

(ix) For double stack coritainer routes, the clearances for electrified/non-electrified will
remain the same. The clearances stipulated in Col.7 & 8 are with eference to 9Yz ft. height
container double stacked on BLCA wagons of floor height of I 009 mrn above rail level.
(b) In case of existing crossings a special clearance study shall be made as indicated in Clause
21.1 of ACTM to be reintroduced as under: ~
'-
Clause 21.1 It is desirable to provide maximum possible clearances in the case of
(revised) power line from the highest traction conductor used for electric traction.
Based on the clearance study, reduced clearances, with approval of ErG,
and subject to observance of clearances in Column 4 of Table in Para 17.3
may be adopted.

Clause 21.2 Such reduced clearances would be subject to any special safeguards that
(Revised) may be prescribed by EIG while granting these relaxations.
Clause 21.3 Wherever feasible, special design of tr'J,ction overhead equipment, return
(Revised) conductor, 2S kY feeder or other power line on traction mast/structure
should be developed keeping in view the" need for economy and other
requirements, if any.
CIa use 21.4 lf nflcr special clcuruncc Sillily of'cxisling crosxing, the power line crossing
(He vised) is to be modified, the SUllie shull be dune to provide the cleurunces
prescribed in columns S, 6, 7 & 8 as the case may be.
Clause 21.5 The relaxation to adopt reduced clearances shall not be applicable for new
power line crossings .
