GENDER EQUALITY
An encompassing law provided to Filipino women to advance their rights against any form of
discrimination
GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
A form of violence that transpires within a privates sphere usually concerning persons who are
related through intimate relationship, blood and law.
These are violence in a form of rape, sexual harassment and sexual intimidation between
individuals who are related through intimacy, blood or law.
Sexual Violence
These are different forms of violence through tolerating, allowing and apathetic towards
gender-based violence, domestic violence, trafficking, sexual abuse, forced sterilization and
pregnancy.
Political Violence
Any act of implementing discriminatory laws, policies, regulations, programs and initiatives
which contradicts or against the fundamental rights of women such as matrilineal laws and
policies on abortion and reproduction.
Institutional Violence
As of 2017 based on WHO, how many percent of women in the world are experiencing physical
or sexual abuse by their intimate partner or violence sexually by another person?
