Here is how I would rate Dale's Cone of Experience to Bruner's three tiered model of learning: - Direct Experience (bottom of cone): Correlates with Enactive/Sensorimotor learning - learning by doing. Hands-on experiences allow students to build understanding from their actions. - Contrived Experiences: Relates to Iconic learning - learning through images, symbols, and models. Activities like simulations and role plays provide symbolic representation. - Symbolic Experience (top of cone): Aligns with Symbolic learning - abstract thinking and use of symbols, language and logic. Activities like lectures and readings require higher-order processing of represented information. So in summary, Dale's Cone progresses

Concepts Identified My Thoughts about the Concept

In today’s situation, learning becomes difficult for the student
Concept A: because people are not allowed to leave their homes, but also it
Technology as Fundamental becomes easier thanks to technology and internet. It is now easier to
of Learning share and collect information needed in just a click. That’s why
technology becomes one of the flat form of classes today.
With technology, there is a faster way to communicate and to
distribute lessons as well as activities needed of the students.

Concept B: This method is very essential to the teaching and learning process.
Blended-Learning Since it has a wide range in discussing the lesson and it also gives the
student chance to express and learn comfortably.

Concept C: Since technology becomes the one of the important daily basis in life.
Early Education about ICT It is important for all of us to be knowledgeable enough about ICT and
technology since it becomes the new flat form of education nowadays.

‘How Technology has influenced my life as a learner?”

Technology surely has the biggest contribution in the change of every persons living.
Technology makes our life more efficient and essential. It truly become the part of our daily
living. For sure many of us can’t live a day without using technology and of those is the
internet and gadgets.
I started my study as a little girl ignorant to it, since it is not much needed. I usually
study hard to cope up with the lesson every day.
Until internet and social media become the trend. The communication and sharing
and searching for information becomes easy. We can study in advance and surf for more
information about a specific topic in advance. Which is more efficient because learning
becomes borderless. Though sometimes we depend on technology so much that we
become easy in our study because we already know that in just one click google will give us
the answer we need.
For me, using technology is not that bad because it makes people nowadays wiser
and knowledgeable. It will just depend on us if we will use this as an advantage or
disadvantage.

Assume yourself as an investigator who would like to inform your learners and co-teachers about the current
issues on technology use. Search the web and find out articles or case about:
A. Freedom of Expression and Censorship
B. Privacy and Security
C. Surveillance and Data Retention
D. E-pollutants from e-waste ’

Title of the Issue: Surveillance and Data Retention

Title of the Article: Public preferences for internet surveillance, data retention and privacy
enhancing services: Evidence from a pan-European study
Source: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S074756321730376X
Author: Dimitris Potoglou , Fay Dunkerley , Sunil Patil , Neil Robinson

Summary Narrative:

This article this work provides robust and consistent evidence from across the EU27, which points
towards: the need for greater transparency and accountability regarding the surveillance of Internet use by
law enforcement agencies, the need to empower individuals to set the right level of privacy for themselves
and potential business opportunities through exploiting nascent demand for privacy enhancing services and
technologies. Given better communication from governments about the reasons why security services must
employ surveillance capabilities and clarity about the accountability and governance of these capabilities,
coupled with greater availability of tools to help users better manage their preferences, the delicate task of
managing the competing priorities of privacy, surveillance and security may be more actively addressed.
Finally, evidence from this study serves to add another set of insights into the complex and broad picture
that security authorities have to consider in their decision-making.

What lesson have you learned?

People who depend on the internet too much tends to get involved on different issues such as
cybercrimes. People nowadays are capable to do crimes with internet because they already know that
people depends and believes whatever they see on the internet and social medias which tends to make
them curious and steals anyone’s privacy and data that can be used on different cybercrimes.

What suggestion can you offer?

If the government can’t control the stealing of data from anyone’s account, then the action must
start within us. We must limit the things we share to the internet in order for us to prevent such this crime
that will surely affect our daily living.

Lesson 4: NATIONAL ICT LAWS, POLICIES AND REGULATIONS

Experience

Attached to this LM, are the complete copies of the laws governing the implementation of ICT in the
Philippines. Read all the laws, policies and regulations. Choose one law that interests you the most and
provide a summary of the salient features.

Lesson 6: DALE’S CONE OF EXPERIENCE

Experience

How would you rate the Cone of Experience to the teaching-learning process with the levels identified by
Bruner’s three tiered model of learning?

Student’s Name : Jenniebeth C. Valenzuela Activity Box No :EXPE6

Program/Yr/Block : BTVTED-FSM/3/G ID Number :2018-01161

Dale’s Cone of Experience is a visual representation of learning resources

arranged according to degree of abstractness. As the cone gets wider and wider, the
expected learning outcome and resource becomes abstract. The theory implies learners
needs to upgrade their learning that it becomes they are learning by themselves through
exposing them into life situations. The experiential learning of a leaner should still be
observed by the teacher..

Engaging students to actively participate whether outdoor or indoor class also

makes them to learn more because they can freely express their ideas and opinions with
their classmates. Therefore, the teaching and learning process will be efficient. Not just the
student will learn but also the teacher can get ideas on how to engage his students to
different activities which they will not feel pressured.

The teacher should choose activities that will boost learners interest and
capabilities. The role of the teacher is to make the learner and the subject/ topic as one.

At this point, evaluate your personal capability in relation to the TPACK Framework.

How does your TPACK look like? Encircle the letter of the figure that best suits your own TPACK. Explain
and exemplify the meaning of your model.

The TPACK that suits me is the first choice. The content knowledge is still
small because as a future teacher I want to be flexible with the content I will be
teaching. I prefer to have a wide range of content because I want to challenge
myself on how flexible I can be.

Lesson 8: SAMR MODEL

enhance instruction leading to a transformative use of technology. Design a task that can have a positive effect
