Subject: Motivation letter
As I tried to reveal on subject, if I elected as academic program coordinator of Chemical
Engineering department I will do on the following major areas.
1. Curriculum
The main guide line for instructional objectives in teaching and learning processes is Curriculum.
So I will forward the current curriculum being with others colleagues to achieve teaching and
learning process.
I will allocate the staffs with their specialization area and follow up regularly for the organized of
education quality. For the Master’s Program launch, I will do what is expected from me.
2 Students
To bring and maintain the quality of education, the role of students is very important.
Therefore, incorporating with concerning stakeholders, the promotion of department at the
national level will prepared which can attract students with best score to the department.

To express the awareness of the department to the desired level it may take time. Due to this,
I will do all my best with head of Chemical engineering and other Departments in our institute.

Encourage practical and tutorial portions

Initiate and advice students on different project works

Motivating the students by posting their photos that were scoring the highest score with in
semester.
3. Staff
On my attention, the role of staffs in developing department is the first and foremost which can
put very strong and hard foundation for it.
 For this reason I will do on increasing staff profile of the department.

 Create synergy and smooth relation between staffs.

 Facilitate a number of trainings between staffs that used for sharing knowledge and skill.

 Initiating the staffs to prepare seminar researches


 Search and arrange training in and out of Haramaya University for laboratory technician,
technical assistant, assistant lecturer and lecturer existing in department by term.
 Initiating and motivating the staffs with the common goal of the department as well as the
Haramaya institute of technology.

 As much as possible I will plan and facilitate for staff services through head department.
4. Laboratory
Laboratory are very important to demonstrate Engineering application practically which are used
to accomplish instructional objectives and produce graduate fit for purpose.
 So on this I will do more to make our laboratory conducive for students with the staff.

 I will cooperative with others departments in and out of Haramaya institute of


Technology to plan and share existing resource.

 I will try my best to be making fully functional the laboratories including computer lab
even if we are late to do.
Thus, having the aforementioned Vision, educational background, teaching and full interest and
commitment in the position, I am applying for the academic program coordinator of Chemical
engineering position.
