    Series of 2020

    “REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR TO ISSUE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER


    FOR THE CREATION OF A TASK FORCE FOR THE ‘BALIK PROBINSYA
    PROGRAM’ IN THIS MUNICIPALITY”

    WHEREAS, Senator Christopher “Bong” T. Go introduced the “Balik Probinsya


    Program” providing free transportation and livelihood of Metro Manila residents who wish to
    be relocated to their respective provinces after the Covid-19 pandemic;

    WHEREAS, Executive Order 114, s. 2020 was issued by the President of the Philippines
    entitled “Institutionalizing the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program as a
    Pillar of Balanced Regional Development, Creating a Council Therefor, and for
    Other Purposes”;

    WHEREAS, the said Program provides holistic and sustainable guidelines to address
    perennial problems such as poor employment opportunities, congestion, overburdened public
    services, lack of decent living, criminality, poor sanitation and environmental degradation, as
    well as the uneven development in other parts of the country;

    WHEREAS, the Provincial Council of Surigao del Sur, through the issuance of
    Resolution No. 652-20, s. 2020 entitled “Enjoining All Local Government Units (LGUs)
    in the Province of Surigao del Sur to Create a Task Force for the ‘Balik Probinsya
    Program’ in their Respective Areas of Jurisdiction”, recognized the need to create a
    task force designed in putting in place all the needed preparations and operational procedures
    for the efficient and effective implementation of the program.

    NOW THEREFORE:

    BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Barobo, Surigao del Sur, to:

    REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR TO ISSUE AN EXECUTIVE


    ORDER FOR THE CREATION OF A TASK FORCE FOR THE ‘BALIK
    PROBINSYA PROGRAM’ IN THIS MUNICIPALITY

    RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution the following


    persons/dignitaries for their information, guidance and appropriate disposition.
