purely horror, so I think
they would allow a horror

Balancing the tone Because I’m making a
horror comedy, balancing
the tone might be quite
difficult. I could fix this by
making the serial killer a
scary and intimidating. This
would help balance the
comedy and the scares.
Meeting conventions Meeting the conventions of
two genres. I could Make

protagonist and make the
killer a classic horror villain.
Using a knife in locations Even when it’s a prop knife,
it is treated as real if it is

fake knife in a bag when it
is not on screen.

Making light of serious As it covers a serial killer

some audiences might find
it offensive. However, I can
solve this by making the
killer appear as a bad
person. Not to glorify the
killer, he is in the wrong.

Practical How to fix Faced Didn’t face

Actor’s availability I am planning to play the
main character so I will
always be available. The
killer wears a mask, so you
never see his face, this
means the actor can be
switched out when needed.
But I still would use the
same actor for the voice.

Lighting during night I have recently bought 2

scenes. ring lights that are very
powerful. These would
allow me to shoot properly
at night.
Preproduction Get everything planned out
before shooting to limit the
amount of re shoots
needed.
Camera Make sure all settings are
correct before filming to
limit reshoots.
Test shoot would also help
massively to find best
settings prior to filming.
