How to stop?
¡  If the last letter is not small
Ta, we look at the Harakah
of the last letter:

¡  For single harakah, such as ْ‫مَقابِر‬ َ‫مَقابِر‬

Fat-hah, Dhammah and Maqaber Maqabera
Kasrah, change it into
Saakinah/Sukun
ْ‫شهيد‬ ٌ‫شهيد‬
¡  For Double Fat-hah and Shahid Shahidun
Double Dhammah, change
it into Saakinah/Sukun
‫قَدْحا‬ ‫قَدْحًا‬
Qadha Qadhan
¡  For Double Fat-hah, change
it into Alif
In short:
If the last letter has double Fatah, it becomes Alif
Any other harakah changes into Sukun

How to stop at =6>? sign?
¡ When we see the =6>? sign after a word, we
need to have a short pause at that word, then
continue with the recitation WITHOUT breaking
out breath.
¡ When we keep the pause, we must not break
our breath.
¡ Examples:
ٍ‫وَقِيلَ مَنْ سكته رَاق‬
َ‫كَلَّا بَلْ سكته رَان‬
