Students will be exploring the topic of natural resources in this task, which falls under the
Natural Resources Around The World: Use and Sustainability unit. Six different questions are
available for students to choose from, where they will have to answer one question and hand in
their answer for grading. Students who are more creative may choose to answer question 5,
whereas students who prefer a more essay style question may choose to answer question 6.
The four other questions give students creative freedom on how they would like to provide
their answer, giving them the opportunity to include images, charts, diagrams, or even just a
simple paragraph style answer. Since six different question types are available to students, a
very general rubric will be used to grade answers under the knowledge, application, thinking
and communication categories. Students will be given more descriptive feedback on their work
in the comments section of the assessment tool. This task will be used as a summative
assessment.
