Topic Statement

avoid family and friends, lack motivation and are often unable to work. As we know that mental
health includes our emotional and social well-being along with psychological health. It affects
every aspect of our life. Mental health was a dark area in the medical field, but recent decades
have seen growing emphasis on the mental aspect of health. Being mentally fit is the bottom line
of a physically fit body. As the research is growing in the field of mental health, many diseases
were earlier encapsulated under the word "mentally ill." These are now studied in detail, and
their treatment is being developed. One such mental condition is "Schizophrenia. Proper research
in this field will reveal many more aspects of Schizophrenia. The intended goal is to study
various investigations related to this issue and develop an understanding of its different causes
and effects. This goal is realistic and practical as it directly helps me to connect to the issue of
mental health and will open new dimensions of mental health while doing study related to this.
Its early detection can reduce its severity at the initial stage itself.
Problem Statement
Schizophrenia is a mental illness that affects a person's ability to think, analyze, express,
feel, and behave. It leads to a gradual change in moods, social habits, and hampered thinking. As
per WHO, more than 69% of people with Schizophrenia are not receiving appropriate care. Lack
of access to mental health services is an important issue. As a fact, all the mental conditions,
including depression, have one or more similar traits; thus, it is tough to identify the exact

condition from the overlapping symptoms. The medications prescribed are nearly identical to
those for other mental conditions such as depressions. Misdiagnosis, along with improper
medications, increases the severity of the disease and worsen the life of the patient. A well-
balanced study including probable reasons, causes, various stages, analysis, therapies, and
inclusion of yoga science can provide great assistance to someone who is suffering from this
disease. The ignorant attitude towards mental health needs to be changed, and it should be
