ABSTRACT

Enrolment is considered as the first step or procedure that must be done by old students
within a particular institute before the semester per school year totally starts, but for those
freshmen, or first year students (new students), they are obliged to usually take an admission test,
to know and assess them the right course to engage to, followed by a scheduled interview in order
to give them brief instructions and information about certain issues with regards to the school’s
policies, institutional programs as well as personal information, health, economic status, so on and
so forth.
“The researcher formulated a questionnaire questioning, Before the enrolment period ,
date enrolment procedures require and other vital details are announced to the students of the
campus “The instructions on the enrolment procedures are stated in clear, simple and
understandable sentences”, Assessment of student records are pre-requisite to enrolment” ,
Important details like subject, days and times of meeting professors/instructors to handle are also
ported” and “ The enrolment area is clean, well ventilated and convenient enough for the
enrollees. It means the assessment of enrolment is good. 40 or 36 percent out of 30 students
during enrolment period, the date, procedures requirements and other vital details are announced
to the campus/ to the prospective schools.
The normative survey method was employed in this study in order to ascertain the
prevailing conditions to the difficulties on how to assess the enrolment system in Bulacan State
University Sarmiento Campus.
The researcher formulated a questionnaire consisting of fourteen items which were
answerable by “Always” , “Often” ”Seldom” ,” Sometimes” , and “Never” Those were derived
from set a of rules on how to assess a enrolment system of our committee and staff effectively as
explained by different authorities by courses.

CHAPTER 1

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKROUND

Introduction

Luckily, we are now living in a world where everything is powered by technology. Today,

the use of technology has been an effective tool in improving various kinds of transaction used in

establishment and industry.   The continuous development of technology has also made people’s

work became more productive, convenient and less hassle.

Enrolment serves as a vital part in the life of every student upon entering schools or

universities, either public or in private.   It gives students the impressions on how the whole

institutes manage and manipulate the entire body.   Moreover, enrolment serves as the first

experience of all students by which he/she takes part either individually or with company of a

parent or some relatives.

Enrolment is considered as the first step or procedure that must be done by old students

Good enrolment is always an asset in a university, pertaining to fast payment, assessment

procedures, and easy transactions with a high rate of accuracy.   Therefore, good enrolment within

the university, if present, can be described as civilize, organize, accurate and professional.

Statement of the Problem

Student enrollees have to stand and wait for an hour to finish enrolling and worse,

sometimes students were made to come back the next day so that they can be officially enrolled.

This study aims to come up with an enrolment system for a college student of Bulacan

State University Sarmiento Campus on how they handle and assessing during the enrolment

period.

Specifically, the research attempt to answer the following question:

1. What are the main problems of enrolment process to the students at Bulacan State
University Sarmiento Campus?

Scope and Delimitation

This study was focused on identifying and analyzing, the problem of enrolment process in

Bulacan State University Sarmiento Campus.

The analysis is limited on the evaluation of six (6) courses of BHRM,BSBA,GE,

BSIT,BSED and BEED student of Bulacan State University Sarmiento Campus, conducted during

enrolment period. Its main focus is to solve the general problem of the enrolment system .

Significance of the Study

This research was sought to determine the Enrolment System of Bulacan State University

Sarmiento Campus. Thus, this will be benefit to the following:

Students, the prime recipient of this study, it will help them to know the situation of

enrolment process and it will help them to know the procedures and instructions needed during

enrolment.

CHAPTER II

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

Relevant Theory

Many Universities or Campuses nowadays are facing some hindrances and difficulties

how to assess their school during the enrolment period.

Foreign Related Study

India’s higher education system is the third largest in the world, after China and United

State. The main governing body at tertiary level is the University Grants Commission. Which

enforces its standards, advises the government, and help coordinate between the centre and the

state? Accreditation for higher learning is overseen by 12 autonomous institutions established by

the University Grants Commission. As of 2009, India has 2 central university 215 state

universities, 100 deemed universities, 5 institutions established and functioning under the state

act, and 13institutes which are of national importance. Other institutions include 16000 colleges,

including 1800 exclusive women’s colleges, functioning under these universities and institutions.

Foreign Related literature

Software development and IT service firm implemented its catalyst in Governor Andres

processing, marketing, and interactive community function to the two rice schools. Catalysts

deliver on the Jones School’s two primary criteria for selecting a web-based platform.

Local Related Study

The Technology today plays a vital role in our society. It makes man work easier and fast.

It lessens error of work by using machine. It reduces costs to an organization from paper works up

to computer working system. Many manual transactions can be computerized by using software

applications or computer systems to make easier and efficient.

Information technology can give a company ready access to improve product and service

quality reduce costs increase productivity in smallest time possible and communication between

employees and to make things with lesser effort but having a better output and even improve

company morale.

The process of enrolment in schools nowadays requires information technology the

objective of Information Technology is to help humanity from doing loads of work over time. By

having computerized system, the costs during enrolment will be cut down and much effort will be

reduced.

The project involves a series of studies that covers all the requirements of creating a

computerized enrolment system. The goal of the study is to provide an efficient computer-based

system that will easily update, retrieve and maintain student’s records.

The developer’s main concern is to make a system that will help to speed up the process.

The subject of this study is the Enrolment System of Ebenezer Montessori Christian School, Inc.

The study aims provide a system that will serve their Registrar accurately and of efficiency in

matters related to their enrolment.

The forgoing concepts are illustrated in paradigm that follows using the system approach.

It is defined as the process by which needs are identified, requirements for problem solutions are

defined, solutions are chosen from alternatives, methods and means are obtained and

implemented, results are evaluated and requires revisions to all parts of the system are made.

Block 1 is the INPUT, which contains variables of the research. It was the students, they

are the variables needed to identify what are their observation about assessing enrolment process

in our campus.

Block 2 is the PROCESS, Which explains the methods and process to produce the good

results and to solve the problem that the enrolment needed to our campus. This involves

identifying what their techniques to lessen the problem during enrolment period.

Block 3 is the OUTPUT, Which presents the results or outcomes of the survey or

research. The analysis of the findings will be able to use as a basis for recommendations for

improvement of their good assess in enrolment system.

METHODS OF RESEARCH

These chapters will presents the procedure and instruments utilizes in gathering data and

techniques, employ in classifying and interpreting the data gather. The discussion will include the

following: Population and Sample of the study. Research Instrument and the Data Processing and

Statistical Treatment.

Methods and techniques of the Study

Research Design

The study covered of six courses or thirty of the students enrolled in Bulacan State

University, School Year 2012-2013.

Research Instrument

To gather the data the following instruments will be utilize:

1. QUESTIONAIRE

The questionnaire was used to gather data from the respondents which are the selected

students. It consists of fourteen items which were answerable by “Always” , “Often”

”Seldom” ,” Sometimes” , and “Never” questionnaire was formulated from sets on how they

assess an enrolment system.

Data Gathering Procedure

Each student was given a copy of the questionnaire and was requested to fill in the blanks

for personal information such as name, year and section. The students were requested to give their

most truthful answers about their observe by check on the space provide under “Always” ,

“Often” ”Seldom” ,” Sometimes” , and “Never” indicator as the case may be. The percentage

method was used in computing the results. The obtained data were tallied and analyzed.

Data Processing and Statistical Treatment

Statistical are uses to analyze and evaluate gathered data. The following statistical

instruments are applied to get the desire analysis.

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter deals with the presentation of the data gather through the instruments. These

data are presented in table forms; each table is given an in-depth analysis and interpretation to

answer the questions in the Statement of the Problem in Chapter 1.

CHAPTER V

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presents the summary of the research. It includes the findings from

the gathered data, the conclusions drawn from these findings, and recommendations offered by

the researcher in the light of the results. This chapter presents all the answer stated below.

Statement of the Problem

Student enrollees have to stand and wait for an hour to finish enrolling and worse,

sometimes students were made to come back the next day so that they can be officially enrolled.

This study aims to come up with an enrolment system for a college student of Bulacan

State University Sarmiento Campus on how they handle and assessing during the enrolment

period.

Conclusions

Based on the summary of findings, the researcher came up with the conclusions that the

respondents who are the students, it gave an idea that the most of them are advised to disseminate

the announcement to the prospective/ incoming students with 46% percent out of 30 students

which means that the most incoming / prospective students are had an announcement during

enrolment period;

Recommendations

It was found out in this study that the assessing of enrolment process of Bulacan State

University are excellent because based on the percentage of student response the enrolment

process are have good in assessing. But despite of good response of the students they has a

problem because they need to stand and wait for an hour to finish enrolling and worse, sometimes

students were made to come back the next day so that they can be officially enrolled.

To lessen the predicament situation of the student during enrolment period maybe we

have separations of enrolment in different courses .
