COC 3 (PROCEDURAL)

1. peer to peer
go to windows firewall
allow network discovery
turn on network discovery
if need to restart pc just go on
2. turn-off router
just turn off DHCP of router(depends on assessor)

Configure Networking
LAN properties – IPv4 properties
192.168.101.254 same as DNS (3rd octate depends on you)
192.168.101.1 (Ip address of router for default gateway)
5. Change computer name
restart computer
6. add roles
install adds(active directory domain services)
click- next- next- install- close
7. click windows + R
type dcpromo then enter

select create a new domain

type required FQDN
ex. test.local
level should be win2000

select windows2000 native

check DNS server

check reboot

restart computer
**it will ask to change your password
change it ex. 1cc-Cal00can
this will be your new Administrative Password!!!

8.click ADD ROLES
check DHCP Server
next-next
check ip address
validate **it should be valid

check WINS is not required
next
click add scope (set)
type scopename
type starting ip address
***it shoudl be start 192.168.xxx.10
xxx ip given by assessor
type ending IP address ex 192.168.xxx.110
IP should be depend on range
type subnet mask 255.255.255.0
type Default gateway address (base on router ip address)

disable DHCPv6
next
use current credentials
next- install loading…. close
9. add roles
next
check file services
print services

check file service resource manager
next
check load disk..check local disk (c:)

*Go back to LANproperties then change DNS IP from


127.0.0.1 to 192.168.xxx.254
10. For NSLOOKUP
open server manager
click roles
click DNS server
click DNS
click server101 ***this is your computer name created
click reverse lookup zone
right click new zone
next next next next
type 192.168.xxx first 3 octate of your IP
next – finish

right click the zone you created


then select new pointer (PTR)
next – next
type host IP address ex. 192.168.xxx.254
click browse FQDN: test.local
or find ALL RECORDS arrow
look for the S.O.A. (start of authority)
next – finish
11. for loopback
open server manager
click roles
click DNS server
click DNS
click server 101
click reverse look up
right click new zone
next next next
type 127.0.0.
next finish
right click the zone created
then select new ptr
next next type ip 127.0.0.1
click browse
find ALL RECORDS arrow down
look for SOA
next finish

12. Creating Organizational Unit

click start
Click administrative tools
click Active directory Users and Computers
Right click FQDN
New – Organizational Unit
type Department
click users
Right click Administrator and click copy
type name and user log-in name
ex. A1
next
check password never expires
type password …. ex. 1Cc-Caloocan
next – finish
Drag the file you created to the folder Department
click yes
click Folder Department
right click on the space
click new – select users
type user name and log in name
ex. B1
next – un check the user must change password
type password
next

13. Create Folder on Drive C


start – Computer – open C
create folder
name it as redirection
right click the folder
click properties
click sharing
click advance sharing
check share this folder
click permission
remove everyone
click add
type authenticated users
click ok – check full control
apply – ok – ok
click security
click edit
click add
type authenticated users
click ok
check full control on authenticated users
click apply – ok
click sharing
copy the network path
click close

14. Creating GPO


clisk start – Administative tools
click Group Policy Management
click forest
Click domain
click FQDN
Click folder you created
Click Yes
Delegation
Advance
Select Authentication
Check all Box
click ok
Clickk FQDN and right click
select Create GPO in this domain
ok
right click the group policy and click enforced - ok
right click the group policy and click edit
click policies under user Configuration
click windows settings
click folder redirection
right click desktop – select properties
drag down and select basic
paste to the rooth path you copied from the folder you created
apply – yes - ok
click settings
uncheck the grant and move
click apply – yes - ok
* same procedures on Documents
close the GPO
click run
type gpudate
15. Joining The Client on the Server
-on Client-
System Properties
Change Workgroup into Domain : test.local
restart
switch user
type admin user and password
create folder on desktop
to check: back to -server-
open Redirection folder from Local C:

16. Remote Desktop


-Server-
Initial Config Task
click Enable Remote Desktop
Choose allow Connection
Click Ok
-Client-
Start Button
Remote Desktop Connection
Type Server User Name
Enter Admin user name and password

17. Install Network Printer
