Emcee 1: Let us start our program with a prayer, everyone please be seated as we are in the
presence of the Lord.

Emcee 2: Ladies and gentlemen, the Philippine National Anthem.

Emcee 1: Nurses, throughout the years thrived and evolved leading to the professional nurses we
see today. Nurses have moved beyond the bedside to explore entrepreneurship,
identifying the best practices and the skill sets that are transferable from direct
caregiving to business leadership. Nurse entrepreneurs fill the gaps in the current health
care delivery system by supporting the development of targeted products and services,
enhanced technology, software, and safety systems.

Emcee 2: Despite the challenges that nurse face, entrepreneurship provides opportunities for
nurses to have a more significant impact, achieve greater career and life satisfaction,
and experience an enhanced sense of empowerment.

Emcee 2: To formally start our program and give us the opening remarks, let us welcome the
passionate, hardworking, and glistening DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF NURSING – DR. JEAN
N. GUILLASPER.

Emcee 1: Thank you, Ma’am Jean, for that inspiring and notable message. At this moment, we will
now be proceeding to statement of purpose, which will be led by Ma’am CECILLE L.

Emcee 2: Thank you Ma’am Cecille for filling us in on the purpose of this webinar.

This webinar was organized in order to enlighten and provide students informatics on
nursing entrepreneurship. Henceforth we have acquired several speakers who are
masters of their craft to give us their insights on that topic. With that is the introduction
of speakers led by Sir JOEL F. BAUTO.

And now to start off with the first part of our webinar, let us joyfully welcome the first
resource speaker for this morning DR. MARIA LYNNE S. MARIANO. RN., MAN., ED.D.
