CAPGEL is a concrete surface retarder used to delay hydration of the surface of wet concrete. It is applied as a coating by brush and allows the surface cement to remain soft while the internal concrete hardens, resulting in an exposed aggregate finish. CAPGEL does not affect the strength of the concrete. It provides a rough surface for bonding subsequent layers and is non-toxic, easy to apply, and cleans up with water.
