    Areas of Thailand capital, Bangkok, has been severely disrupted after


    being hit by flash floods on Friday, March 9th 2018. The flood has caused
    a serious traffic congestion across the city and it stops the Purple Line
    electric train service from operating. It is reported that at least 55 major
    road was submerged by flood water which caused hundreds of vehicle
    caught in the middle of the road.

    The flood triggered by an overnight downpour started at the evening


    rush hour last night which was the heaviest rain Bangkok have ever seen
    in 25 years and overwhelmed the citys drainage system. Several roads
    were reported to be partia|y covered with floodwater between 30 and
    90 cm deep. The water took six hours to recede in some areas of the
    capital.

    Expert say that the heavy rain was due to the monsoon stretching across
    the central part of the country. The daily weather forecast also announce
    that the rain is expected to continue over the next two days and it is
    predicted to affect 60 % of Bangkok and surrounding provinces. The
    citizen is expected to stay alert for the upcoming wave.
