REFLECTION

FOR

MID-YEAR INSET

2020-2021

REFLECTION

First Inset Session:

Today’s session I learned that what you gave give will comes back to
you. As a person if we give kindness, we beget kindness also. I also refreshed
by classroom observation tools-RPMS because of the discussion from our Head
teacher Mr. Andrie D. Palang-at. He emphasizes on the different indicators for
us to be clarified and attain our goal to reach for excellence and to get an
outstanding performance.

During afternoon session, I learned that discipline his something to do

with positive reinforcement. We discipline pupils for them to became a better
person by teaching them to believe in their self and we can only do that we
can learn to accept them for who they are. We should look for their strength
and appreciate it rather than their mistakes or weakness. We should look at
the positive side of each negative situation and we should always remember
that discipline doesn’t mean punishment it means teaching.

Second Inset Session:

Today’s session, I learned that if we want to get an outstanding grade in

observation, we must be coached and mentored first by our principal or head
teachers by a pre-conference prior to the actual observation for us to became
guided on what strategies and activities they expect to observe from us during
our actual observation. Afterwards, a post-conference must follow to give
feedback on what does a teacher needs to improve the next time he/she will
be observe.

In the afternoon session, I learned that classroom management involves

a conducive learning facility of our classroom that’s why we need to improve
our classroom facilities in order to make learning effective. It also involves the
art of creativity and imagination lessons so that it motivates pupils. In the
video presentation, I learn that we can only do one thing at a time. We lost
focus because of this digital world and most specially we miss out from God.

Third Inset Session:

Today’s session, I learned that as a teacher we should know what are the
Guidelines for NEAP Recognition of Professional Development Programs and
Courses for Teachers and School Leaders. We should always be aware of the
different local policies, rules and regulation so that we can also relay it to our
pupils and to their parents.

It so nice because the speaker Mr. Jondie Libre gives reward to the
teacher who actively participated in the discussion. During the test
construction, I learn that we should never use fill in the blanks in making
test. And I also learned that NEAP goal is to Empower individuals especially
us teachers and teams to consistently and effectively perform leadership
roles and responsibilities in achieving school goals in shared governance
and accountability.
