TUTORIAL - How To Setup Squeeze Page
TUTORIAL - How To Setup Squeeze Page
squeeze pages. It will cover how to add your autoresponder code, how to
edit the content on the page, and how to transfer the edited page to your
website.
NOTE: There are many different ways to edit these squeeze pages; this
tutorial will use Kompozer as the web page editor, Aweber as the
autoresponder service, and FileZilla as the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Client.
If you are using other services, the editing process may vary.
Hopefully, this tutorial will help you get your lead generation pages up and
running quickly!

In this tutorial, we will be setting up the
Mobile Websites PLR Pack Squeeze page.
Go to the “Squeeze Page” folder of your PLR package and make a copy of
the “index” page, which is the squeeze page. This is so you can keep the
original page as is in case you need to come back to it later.
To make a copy, right click on it and click “copy” and then right click and
choose “paste” and you will see a copy of that page in your folder.
Now, you need to rename the copy, but this depends on whether this page
will be the home page for your site or an additional page to your site.
• If it will be the home page, change the name of the original index file to
“index2” by right clicking on it and choosing “rename.” Then, rename the
new copy page “index.” The home page always has to be named “index.”
• If it will be an additional page (not the home page) of your site, rename the
page according to what you want the URL to be. In my example below, I
renamed the page “mobilewebsites.” In order to get to this page, people will
go to: www.yourdomainname.com/mobilewebsites.html (more on this later).

Open up your website editor. If you do not have one, we will be using
Kompozer in this tutorial. If you do not have Kompozer, download it.
To download it, go to: www.kompozer.net

Open up your new file that you re-named above in Step #1.
It will look like this:
Click the “Source” tab at the bottom of the editor and look for the text that
says “(Insert Opt-in Code Here).” See below-this is where you’re going to
put your autoresponder code. So, let’s go to Aweber to get your code!
(or your autoresponder)

Login to Aweber, choose your list, and then click on the “Web Forms” button.
Click the green “Create a New Web Form” button.
The default form will come up – edit however you want. You can remove the
header and footer by clicking the “x” next to them when you land on them.

After removing the header and footer, this is what the form looks like. You
can also choose from the other templates available in Aweber.
When the form looks the way you want, click “Go to Step 2.”
Next, enter a name for your new web form (no one else will see it).

Next, click “Save Web Form.”

Next, click on the “Raw HTML Version” tab.
Next, click inside the box where the code is and it will highlight all of the
code. Right click and “copy” this code.

Go back to Kompozer, click the “Source” tab at the bottom of the editor and
look for the text that says (Insert Opt-in Code Here).” Remove this text and
enter the HTML code that you copied from Aweber. Click “File, Save.”
So if you need to change the code, take out all of the code from beginning to
end (including the beginning and ending Aweber markers).

This is what the page will look like if you click back on the “Normal” tab at
the bottom. You will now see your opt-in form to the right.
While you are in Kompozer, edit any of the text on the page as you wish.
After editing, click “File, Save” to save your changes.
Now, it’s time to transfer your new, edited page to your website!

Next, open up FileZilla. It will look like this. Login to your website’s cpanel
by entering your website domain, username, and password at the top left.
Then, click the “QuickConnect” button.
After connecting, you will see this. Your computer files will be on the left and
your website files will be on the right. Double click on the “public_html”
folder on the right to open up your website folder.

Once you open up the public_html folder, it will look like this. Find your new
edited squeeze page on your computer (in the left hand window). Once you
find it, select the page AND the “images” folder, right-click and choose
“Upload” to move those files to your website.
You can also drag and drop the files over to your website (from the left
window to the right window). Be careful NOT to drop them into a folder…
Drop them in an open area in the right side window.

Now, it’s time to test your page.
If you made your squeeze page your home page (and named it “index”), go
to: www.yourdomainname.com and your new squeeze page should come
up!
If you made your squeeze page an additional page on your site (and gave it
a specific name), go to:
www.yourdomainname.com/pagename.html and your new squeeze page
should come up!
That’s it…
Now, you’re ready to start collecting new Offline leads with your new
squeeze page!
