Learning Style Survey

The document describes a learning style survey to assess a learner's preferences across three modalities: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The survey consists of 30 questions where learners rate how often each statement applies to them on a scale of 0 to 4. The questions assess visual preferences like taking notes and using diagrams, auditory preferences like discussing topics and listening to lectures, and kinesthetic preferences like needing breaks, standing up, and doodling. By completing the survey, learners can gain insight into their general learning style tendencies and strengths across the three modalities.

Learning Style Survey:

Assessing Your Own Learning Styles

Andrew D. Cohen, Rebecca L. Oxford, and Julie C. Chi
The Learning Style Survey is designed to assess your general approach to learning. It
does not predict your behavior in every instance, but it is a clear indication of your overall
style preferences. For each item, circle the response that represents your approach. Complete
all items. When you read the statements, try to think about what you generally do when
learning. It generally takes about 10 minutes to complete the survey. Do not spend too much
time on any item – indicate your immediate feeling and move on to the next item. For each
item, circle your response:
0 = Never
1 = Rarely
2 = Sometimes
3 = Often
4 = Always
