do something more; he wants to create something he loves but is stuck in this job where he must stick
to the rules. As Jez Lemon starts to create another cake, he drifts of into a daydream.

4. Jez Lemon looks at the cardboard cutout to his left which shows a bag of ice in a plane, he jumps over
the stall, throws the ice from the plane and sits in the ice's place. The plane shoots fire out of its tail as if
it were a rocket taking off. The plane shoots forward into the distance and breaks through the roof of
the supermarket. The plane then levels out, Jez Lemon is happy for the first time. He feels as if he has
escaped the monotony of his job and he doesn't want the feeling to end. A red light begins to flash
inside the plane and Jez Lemon begins to panic as the plane begins to plummet and sends him crashing
back to earth.

5. Jez Lemon's view is filled with smoke; he bats it away frantically to be met by KAREN and THE KID.

more; Jez Lemon begins to daydream, and Karen and the Kid are transformed into monsters. In a fit of
rage, Karen smashes the cake on the counter. Jez Lemon see's the Manager in his monster form
approaching quickly and begins to panic. He drives his hands into the smashed-up cake in a quick flurry
to try and produce something that could somehow get him out of this intense situation and make
everyone happy. Jez Lemon has created a masterpiece. Jez Lemon brings the cake up to his face in
amazement and gets a sense of pride in his work, a new feeling for him. Jez Lemon leans over the
countertop and presents his masterpiece of a cake to the Kid, the Kid becomes excited, and a wide smile
develops in his face as he returns into his normal childlike state.

EXT. SUPERMARKET CARPARK - AFTERNOON

The music starts and with every guitar strum you are given a new image, from title screen to
establishing shot of the whole supermarket then finally to the front entrance. The camera is
stationary until a trolly enters from bottom of the frame, mimicking the action of the camera
being pushed inside the trolly. The supermarket is near closing and yet is as busy as ever,
customers are flying around grabbing bulk produce and enjoying the many services it has to
offer.

INT. SUPERMARKET

The shopping trolly begins to move with the camera still inside. The camera like the viewer is
powerless to do anything but observe what is happening in front of them. The journey begins at
the fresh produce aisle, till a left is taken and a bag of lemons is dropped into the trolly. The
journey resumes and two rights occur until we enter the baked goods stall. Here the camera
observes the whole process the staff making the bread from scratch. Starting on the left with
making the dough all the way till the end of the aisle where the ovens are situated. At the end of
the aisle the camera pans right and returns to its stationary position whilst the trolly then leaves
out of the right of the frame.

INT. PERSONALISED CAKE MESSAGES STALL

Here we meet JEZ LEMON a bored employee tapping his finger away waiting for it all just to be
over. Jez isn't like the customers at BUY PRODUCT he can't stand mass production as he
believes it lacks any creativity or love. But, like most people ended up in a job for safety and
security over love. The camera takes a slow zoom forward closing in on Jez lemon much like the
world is to him. Suddenly he looks to his left noticing an incident occurring. A fellow employee
has spilt milk everywhere whilst stocking the fridges.

The chorus of the music aligns with BOB JOBBY the store manager entering the scene.
Ruthlessly he explodes at the employee whilst they are down on their hands and knees trying to
clean it all up. We then take a peek through Jez Lemons eyes as he pictures his manager
transforming into a beast with large teeth and claws exclaiming at the other employee. Bob then
turns his head round an impossible amount, finished with his victim he has turned to Jez.
Snapping out of it jez is met again with a small dumpy Bob at his counter who points to the large
queue that has formed whilst Jez was distracted. Jez begins to make the orders, but not long in he
begins to drift off once again.

Ext. THE OPENSKIES - NIGHT

The camera closes in of Jez drifting off almost physically entering his head. Now we are in Jez's
imagination. He quickly vaults the desk and heads towards the cardboard cut-out which has a bag
of ice piloting a plane. Jez pulls the bag of ice from the plane and clambers himself on top. Lift
off, the plane shoots upwards through the roof like a rocket.

Jez is now happy and smiling with the wind blowing through his buzzcut. Suddenly an alarm
sounds and flashing light engulfs him as he begins to plummet back to earth. The plane spirals
out of control and explodes against the ground filling the frame with smoke.

INT. PERSONALISED CAKE MESSAGE STALL

Jez bats the smoke away with his grotesquely large hands revealing he never left his stall and
introducing a monstrous angry customer, KAREN ATKINS, in front of him. She points down.
The camera looks downwards revealing Karen holding a Little and very hairy boys’ hand,
ROGER BURROWS. We also see what she is pointing at, a cake with "I GUESS WE ALL DIE"
written atop it. Clearly this was wrong, Jez was too distracted and whilst he was drifting away,
he must have written a dismal message instead of happy birthday Roger. SMASH! Karen puts
her fists through the cake breaking it into pieces. This ruckus has also gotten the attention of the
manager from afar. Jez sees both Bob and Karen and knows he must do something or that's it for
him.
The camera falls back giving Jez room to work. He moulds and builds from the wreckage,
creating a cake masterpiece. The cake is himself piloting the plane that made him so happy. He
leans down passing it to the boy, he loves it. Rogers hair begins to disappear revealing a sweet
normal kid that was underneath.

INT. PAPA J'S CAKEYS - DAY

Roger takes the cake as well as his mother's hand and begins to walk out of the shop. It's
different this time, we aren't in Buy Product anymore. The camera reveals the front of Jez
Lemons very own store 'PAPA J'S CAKEYS' with a large queue of people outside. Jez sporting a
brand-new smile welcomes in the next customer. The camera continues to back away until the
screen fades to black with 'FIN' situated centre screen.
