o Divides decimals/mixed decimals.(M6NS-Ig-116.4)

III. MATERIALS:
o Mathletes 6 textbook, power point presentation, worksheet

IV. PROCEDURES
A. MOTIVATION
o The class will be divided into 2 groups. Number cards from zero to nine will be
distributed among the members. The teacher will ask them to solve a simple
equation and the pupils will show their answers using their number cards. This
game is a race to 3 points.

B. REVIEW
o Using your mini-boards, show the product of the following.
1.) 23. 4 x 4.5
2.) 1.005 x 0.007
3.) 9.807 x 2
4.) 5.671 x 0.54
5.) 0.005 x 0.009

C. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON


Mang Kulas bought salt. The salt weighs 12.64 kg. He repacked it into smaller
bags weighing 0.2kg.How many bags will he be able to make?

D. LESSON PROPER
o Discuss how to divide decimals/mixed decimals through powerpoint presentation,
Let the pupils practice by solving the following on their own. When checking, ask pupils to
show the solution in front of the class.

2. 14.2 ÷ 0.2

E. GROUP ACTIVITY
The class will be divided into two groups. The teacher will draw lots to decide who will
play in each group to solve the equation. The one who solves the equation fast will earn a
point for the group. This game is race to 5 points.

F. GENERALIZATION
How do you divide decimals/mixed decimals?

V. EVALUATION
Divide and check through multiplication.
