There might be different reasons why a compressor ACL: 3 - Business Partner
switches off and is restarted. Below is a description why a 4 - Siemens internal
compressor switched off and what happens afterwards. 5 - Editor/Publisher

• Compressor restarts immediately and runs for about 2-3 Skyra
min. Then it stops due to overheating because the cooling Verio
pump starts just after 5 min. Symphony, A Tim System
• MSUP recognizes that compressor is off and starts a Trio, A Tim System
timeout of 20 min. Avanto
• After 20 min MSUP restarts the compressor (Compressor Espree
Drive signal gets active). Aera24

2.) Cooling problem at Non DaVinci-Systems ESSENZA Dot
(compressor was overheating) Avanto Dot
• MSUP recognizes that compressor is off. Verio Dot
• MSUP sets Compressor Drive signal inactive. Prisma
• MSUP starts a timeout of 20 min. Prisma fit
• After 20 min MSUP tries to restart the compressor Skyra fit
(Compressor Drive signal gets active). This is only Spectra
successful when cooling problem is gone.
• MSUP will try this restart 3 times. If compressor does not
restart then MSUP stops trying to restart compressor.
• After this the only way to restart the compressor is to switch
it manually off/on. Of course this will only work if the cooling
problem is solved!

3.) Cooling problem at DaVinci-Systems:.

• MSUP gets informed via CAN bus that cooling pump is off.
• MSUP sets Compressor Drive signal inactive and
compressor stops.
• As soon as cooling is working again the MSUP will be
informed via CAN bus.
• MSUP starts a timeout of 20 min.
• After 20 min MSUP tries to restart the compressor
(Compressor Drive signal gets active). This is only
successful when cooling problem is gone.
• MSUP will try this restart 3 times. If compressor does not
restart then MSUP stops trying to restart compressor.
• After this the only way to restart the compressor is to switch
it manually off/on and do a Restart Software (under System
- Control - Meas&Recon). Of course this will only work if the
cooling problem is solved!
• If compressor is switched off due to cooling
problems there is no audible alarm or no red LED at the
alarm box! The customer contact (X119) is also not
activated! This is true for MSUP-Loadware <= VA02W.
