New fastening screw for charge air cooler
Engine type This Spare Part Notice concerns WÄRTSILÄâ Vasa 32 engines.
General Some older installations have faced difficulties with broken air cooler
fastening screws (part number 476 001). The screw assembly has therefore
been re-designed with a longer screw and a distance sleeve (476 012).

Characteristics The new screw assembly fits all WÄRTSILÄâ Vasa 32 engines.
Recommendation We recommend that engines not equipped with the longer screw and
distance sleeve, are upgraded during the next charge air cooler overhaul.
Parts can be ordered according to the table below.

Note One-stage charge air coolers are connected to the LT cooling circuit only,
while two-stage charge air coolers are connected to both LT and HT
circuits. (i.e. one-stage charge air coolers have two pipes connected, while
two-stage charge air coolers have four pipes connected.)
