Assignment 1 
1- This is a team-work assignment. You should carry out this assignment as a group of
two of students.
2- Search and choose only one research paper from IEEE or ACM databases in any
area in IT field that gets your interest.
3- The research paper has to be published between: 2015 to 2020.
4- Prepare a sheet review presenting the following information in a tabulated form:

General information
 Title, year
 Authors and affiliations
 Type of publication (Journal paper, conference paper, technical report, thesis, etc…)
 Impact factor of publisher/ Citation how many times the paper is cited

Introduction   
 Problem: What is the problem the researcher is trying to solve in this paper 
 Related work: What are the related solutions, at least 2
 Contributions: What are the solutions (contributions) the researcher proposed

Methodology
 What is the methodology used in this paper?
 How the researcher did tackle the problem? ex. Mathematical modelling, simulation,
real world test beds, etc...?

Conclusions

2- If the solution proposed by this paper can be applied in one of Saudi Arabia

Methodology Four metrics were used to examine this model,
these were: accuracy, precision, recall and f-
measure.

Results they evaluate their approach using Moore’s dataset


under two headings: (1) the efficiency and (2) the
applicability of the approach. The efficiency is
concerned with gauging the overall performance
of the proposed DL approach while the
applicability attempts to gauge to what extent the
proposed model can be employed in a real-world
SDN environment.
Conclusions A new application-aware classification framework
for SDNs is introduced. The proposed framework
consists of two main parts, namely learning and
action. Have implemented the first part, i.e.
learning, through implementing a new
Deep Learning model, called Deep-SDN. The
proposed model is able to identify the network
traffic application types with high accuracy and
high speed, which makes it applicable for online
traffic identification.

I think this technology can be applied in


Saudi Arabia and it weal improved
government sectors.
