4. Installation of Rinsing
Unit
Installation of the Rinsing Unit onto the
mounting plate is the same for both
CS 1 and CAS 1

4.2 Rinsing Unit 1
Fit the mounting plate for the Rinsing Unit 1
in place
• Fit the mounting plate (13) for the Rinsing Unit
1 onto the mounting plate (12) for the CAS 1/
CS 1 using the M3 x 8 screws (14)

Assemble the Rinsing Unit 1
• Fix the Rinsing Unit 1 onto the mounting plate
(13) for the Rinsing Unit 1 using the M5 x 10
screw (15).

5. Mounting the CS 1
CAUTION
Electrostatic discharge
Working on sensitive components, e.g.
printed circuit board, can lead to elec-
trostatic discharge. The function of the-
se components can be destroyed lea-
ding to breakdown of the unit involved.
• Before beginning to replace the prin-
ted circuit board carry out an electro-
static discharge with the aid of the
earthed wrist strap.

• Screw the CS 1 tightly onto the mounting
plate using two M4 x 8 hex. socket screws as
illustrated in fig.4.

• Slide the suction hose (2) onto the CS 1 suc-
tion connections.
• Connect the rinsing hose (7) to the rinse con-
nection and to the rinsing unit.

6. Mounting the CAS 1
ACHTUNG

• Remove the electronic circuit board to the
treatment unit from its mounting.
• Hang the mounting plate with the CAS 1 in-
side the treatment unit and secure using two
M5 x 10 (6) screws and flat washers.
• Secure the electronic circuit board in place.

7. Rinsing Unit water
connection
• Divide the Tecalan water supply hose.
• Insert the bronze distributor part into the sup-
ply hose.
• Feed the Tecalan hose from the distributor
part to the rinsing unit and connect.

9. Electrical connection
The following elements must be connected
electrically according to the circuit diagram be-
low:

10. Closing works
• Check that all Dürr Connect connection parts
are secured using safety clips. Don't forget
to check O-rings.
• Carry out a check of all functions as described
in the Installation and Operating Instructions.
• Carry out an electrical safety check and re-
cord results.
• Replace all panels of the treatment unit.
• Instruct all surgery personnel how to use and
take care of the unit.
