2. How are the 7 Sacraments of the Church being classified? Explain your
answer.
3. Are there any other sacraments aside from the 7 Sacraments of the Church?
Discuss through an example.
Answers:
1. The relationship between Christ, The Church and the 7 Sacraments are
discussed on these explanations:
Christ is the historical presence of God’s mercy in its definitive
victory. He is at once a reality and sign: sacramentum & res
sacramenti. The Church is the continuation, the abiding presence of
Christ in the world. From Christ the Church has a sacramental
structure, the historical perceptibility in space and time, in which
Christ and the grace of Christ are present, thus, the Church is the
prime sacramental.
The Sacraments are self-fulfillments of the Church, actualizations of
the Church in relation to the individual man. One satisfies the
Church’s definition that the sacraments are the “causes” of grace if
one holds fast to this that on the administration of the sacraments,
grace is given “because of” the sacramental sign.
2. The 7 Sacraments are being classified as a life-changing moment where one
truly experience God’s salvation and Christ’s sacrifice. Growing in faith
doesn’t only happen through sacraments, it happens through daily prayer and
devotion. A keepsake of religious gifts will stay 0within them as their faith
continues to deepen.
