Introduction

The D585 incorporates the most modern techniques for the evaluation and
detection of counterfeit bills. This detector assesses in detail the security features
that are present in each bill and determines if these are genuine or suspicious. The
equipment automatically alerts the user both visually and audibly when a
suspicious bill is identified.

! Warning
Do not use this product in areas where it may be exposed to water or
other liquids.

Unplug this equipment from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use
liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this equipment.

Take it to qualified service personnel when service or repair work is
required. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous
voltages or other risks. Incorrect reassembly can cause electric shock when
the equipment is subsequently used.

Only use the cable provided with the unit. The use of other cables may
result in electric shock, fire or cause serious damage to the equipment.

Do not operate the equipment in areas with high temperature or high

humidity since it may prevent it from working correctly.

•This equipment is meant to be operated in an indoor environment with proper ventilation.

•Do not place near direct sunlight, heat sources or air conditioners.

•This equipment should only be operated with the power cord supplied and the type of power source
indicated in this user guide. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your location, consult
your vendor or local power company.

•To avoid risk of fire or electric shock, never push objects into the equipment through the case slots or
openings since they may touch dangerous voltage points or shortcut parts. Do not disassemble unit.

•Never spill liquids of any kind on the equipment.

•Unplug this equipment from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the

3. Operation
3.1 Basic Operation

1. Connect the power cable to the detector and then connect the adapter to the power
outlet. After turning on the detector, the equipment will begin a self-check process
that lasts about 5 seconds. The display will read 0, which means that the equipment is
ready to check the bills. If there is any error code, refer to the Error Messages section
of this user guide on page 18.

2. Select the type of currency to be verified (USD-EUR-GBP) by pressing the

CURRENCY button.

3. Insert the bill to be checked into the feeding channel (insert in any direction). When a
bill is presented at the feeding channel, an optical sensor located in the this compartment
allows the detector to automatically begin the verification process. The bill will pass
through the equipment and be analyzed immediately.

4. The detector will verify the bill and show the denomination as confirmation that it is
genuine. Its value will be added to the verified total.

5. If a bill is suspicious, it will be rejected and there will be two audible warnings. Its
value will not be added to the current verified total. The error code corresponding to the
suspect security parameter will appear on the screen as well as the word "FAILED". The
suspicious bill will then be rejected forward (even if the bill exit direction has been set
to exit through the back of the equipment).

3.2 Suspicious Bill Warning

This equipment checks the Magnetic (MG), Infrared (IR), Watermark (WM)
and Ultraviolet (UV) characteristics of the bills analyzed. If any of these security
features do not pass the authentication of the bill, an error code will be
displayed on the detector screen to show which security parameter failed. If
a bill is detected as suspicious, we recommended passing the bill at least three
more times in different positions. Bills can be rejected by the team due to
different reasons:
-Bills are too crumpled
-Bills are very stained or dirty
-Ripped bills
-Wet bills
-Bills stuck with adhesive tape or stapled

3. Report Function

By pressing the REPORT/CURRENCY button repeatedly, the detector will

show the number of bills counted for each denomination as well as the
corresponding total.

3.4 Bill Exit Direction

The verified bill can be expelled though the back of the unit or be returned
through the feeding channel where it was inserted. The user can select the
desired bill exit direction by pressing the CLEAR / DIRECTION button.

Press the CLEAR/DIRECTION button and a corresponding symbol will be

displayed on the screen to indicate to the user that the bill will come out
through the front of the detector. Pressing this button again will change the
selection and the symbol on the screen will change, indicating to the user that the
bill will come out through the back of the unit.

3.5 Bill Positioning

- This equipment has the ability to verify the authenticity of bills in any of four
positions.
- For correct verification, the bill must be introduced into the feeding channel
straight and aligned to the left, as shown in Figure A. Avoid introducing the bill
into the feeding channel at an angle as shown in Figure B.
- For correct verification of US dollar bills, always use the bill guider when
checking bills.
- To check bills with different sizes, remove the bill guider.

4. Solutions to Operational Problems

4.1 Preventive Measures

For optimal operation of the detector, take into account the following:

1. Avoid direct exposure to powerful sources of light as well as magnetic

interference (ex. microwave), which will affect the sensors of the detector.
2. Keep the sensors clean.
3. Keep the equipment off when it is not being used for a long period of time.
4. Check the status of the bills and avoid processing:
- Bills with clips, adhesive tape or other glue
- Broken or badly damaged bills
- Bills affected by chemical agents of any kind

4.2 Maintenance
CAUTION: Before performing any cleaning process, turn off the equipment and unplug it.
Please note that problems or defects caused by lack of maintenance are not covered under the
warranty.

a) Cleaning of optical sensors

It is important to periodically clean the optical sensors to prevent particles of
paper or dust adhering to them.

b) Internal cleaning of the unit

It is necessary to clean the interior of the unit once a month or when necessary.
Turn off and unplug the machine before proceeding with this operation. Open
the top cover of the unit to have better access to the optical and magnetic
sensors. (Page 8)
Use a soft brush to help remove debris and dust from inside the unit.
Use compressed air to remove dust from inside.
Use an alcohol swab (Cleaning Swabs) to remove dust particles adhering to the
magnetic heads.

c) Additional recommendations.
The equipment needs to be in a clean, dust free environment.

4.3 Jamming

- Ensure there are no foreign objects that could accidentally fall into the
equipment (clip, tape, etc. )

- To avoid jamming the bills, position them correctly in the feeding channel.

- Make sure the bill does not have adhesive tape.

- The bill cannot be very wrinkled or torn.

- If any bill or other object accidentally jams inside the detector:

1. Turn off the detector immediately.

2. Open the top cover of the detector.

3. Carefully proceed to remove the bill or object causing the problem.

4. Turn on the detector again and verify it is working at an optimum level.

 5. Software Updates

Steps to perform software update:

1. Copy the programming software to a mini SD card.
2. Turn off the detector.
3. Insert the mini SD card into the update port.
4. Turn on the detector. The code "512 boo7" will appear on the screen.
5. Wait approximately 1 minute until the equipment restarts after
completing the update.
6. Turn off the detector and remove the SD card.
7. Turn on the detector and check the update.

 5. Actualización de Software

Pasos para Instalación de un nuevo software

1. Copie el software de programación en una tarjeta mini SD.
2. Apague el detector.
3. Inserte la tarjeta mini SD en el puerto de actualización.
4. Encienda el detectector. Este mostrara en la pantalla el codigo "512 boo7".
5. Espere aproximadamente 1 minuto hasta que el equipo reinicie despues de
concluir la actualización.
6. Apague el detector y retire la tarjeta SD.
7. Encienda el detector y compruebe la actualización.

4.3 Atascamiento
- Asegurarse de que no hayan objetos extraños que accidentalmente pudieran
haber caído al mecanismo (presilla, cinta adesiva u otros).

- Para evitar atascamiento de los billetes, asegúrese de posicionarlos

correctamente en la bandeja de entrada.

- Asegurese que el billete no este pegado con cinta adesiva, este muy arrugado
o rasgado.

- Si algún billete u otro objeto se atascara accidentalmente en el interior del

detector:
1. Apague el detector inmediatamente.
2. Abra la tapa superior del detector.
3. Cuidadosamente, proceda a retirar el billete u objeto causante del
problema, si es necesario utilice algun aplicador para extraerlo.
4. Encienda el detector nuevamente y verifique su óptimo
funcionamiento.

4.2 Mantenimiento
PRECAUCION: Antes de realizar cualquier procedimiento de limpieza, apague el equipo y
desconectelo. Por favor tenga en cuenta que problemas o defectos causados por falta de
mantenimiento no estan cubierto bajo la garantía.

a) Limpieza de los sensores ópticos

Es importante limpiar periodicamente los sensores opticos para evitar que particulas
de papel o polvo se adhieran a los mismos.

b) Limpieza interior de la unidad

Es necesario limpiar el interior de la unidad una vez al mes o cuando sea necesario.
Apague y desconecte la máquina antes de proceder con dicha operación. Abra la
tapa superior de la unidad para tener mejor acceso a los sensores ópticos y
magneticos (Pagina 8). Use una brocha suave para ayudar a remover residuos y
polvo del interior de la unidad. Use aire comprimido para retirar el polvo del
interior. Use un aplicador húmedo en alcohol (Cleaning Swabs) para remover
partículas de polvo adheridas a los cabezales magneticos.

c) Recomendaciones adicionales
Evite operar la maquina en habitaciones polvorientas y sin las condiciones
adecuadas de higiene.

4.Soluciones de Problemas Operacionales

4.1 Medidas Preventivas

Para el óptimo funcionamiento del detector, tenga en cuenta:

a) Evitar la incidencia directa de potentes fuentes de luz así como de
interferencia magnéticas (ex. micro-onda), las cuales afectaranáel buen
funcionamiento de los sensores del detector.
b) Mantener los sensores limpios.
c) Mantener la unidad apagada cuando no se este usando por largo periodo de
tiempo.
d) Preseleccione y verifique el estado de los billetes, evite chequear:
- Billetes con presillas
- Billetes pegados con cinta adhesiva u otro pegamento
- Billetes rotos o muy deteriorados
- Billetes afectados por agentes químicos de cualquier índole

3.5 Posicionamiento de los Billetes

- El detector D585 tiene la capacidad de verificar la autenticidad de los billetes

en cualquiera de sus cuatro posiciones.
- Para una correcta verificación de los billetes, se debe introducir el billete recto
y alineado hacia la izquierda, como muestra la figura "A". Evite introducir el
billete de forma inclinada como muestra la figura "B".
- Para una correcta verificación de billetes dolares, siempre utilice la guia de los
billetes.
- Para verificar billetes con diferentes tamaños, retire la guia de los billetes.

3.4 Dirección de Salida del Billete

El billete verificado puede ser expulsado por la parte trasera de la unidad o por
la misma entrada por donde fue introducido, dependiendo de la necesidad
particular del usuario. Pulsando el botón CLEAR/DIRECTION por 2
segundos se determina la dirección de salida del billete. El símbolo
correspondiente se mostrara en la pantalla para indicarle al usuario que el
billete saldra por la parte delantera del detector. Pulsando nuevamente 2
segundos dicho botón, el símbolo en la pantalla cambiara, indicandole al
usuario que el billete saldra entonces por la parte trasera de la unidad.

3.2 Aviso de Billete Sospechoso
El detector D585 verifica las características Magnéticas (MG), Infrarrojas (IR)),
Marca de Agua (WM) y Ultravioletas (UV)) de los billetes analizados. En caso de
que alguno de estos elementos de seguridad no pasen la autentificación del billete,
un codigo de error sera representados en la pantalla del detector para mostrar el
parámetro de seguridad fallido. En caso de que algún billete sea detectado como
sospechoso se recomienda insertarlo al menos tres veces mas, en diferentes
posiciones. Los billetes pueden ser rechazados por el equipo debido a diferentes
razones:
-Billetes demasiado arrugados
-Billetes muy manchados o sucios
-Billetes rotos
-Billetes humedos o mojados
-Billetes pegados con cinta adhesiva o presillados

3.3 Función de Reporte

Presionando el botón REPORT/CURENCY secuencialmente, el detector ira
mostrando el número de billetes contados para cada denominación, así como el
monto del valor total correspondiente a la misma. Con esto el usuario podra
determinar exactamente el número de billetes y el valor total de cada
denominación.

3. Funciones Operacionales
3.1 Operación Básica

1. Conectar el cable de alimentación al detector y luego conectar el adaptador a

la toma de corriente. Al encender el detector, este procedera con una rutina de
Auto-chequeo que dura 5 segundos. El display mostrara 0, lo que significa que la
unidad esta lista para verificar los billetes. En caso de algún código de error,
referirse a la pagina 18 de este manual.
2. Seleccione el tipo de moneda que va a verificar (USD-EUR-GBP)
presionando el botón CURRENCY.
3. Inserte el billete a verificar en cualquier dirección. Cuando se presenta un
billete en la entrada del detector, un sensor óptico ubicado en este
compartimiento permite que el detector comience de forma automática el
proceso de verificación. El billete será transportado al interior de la unidad y
analizado inmediatamente.
4. El detector verificara el billete y mostrara la denominación como
confirmación en caso de ser genuino. Su valor sera adicionado al total
verificado.
5. Si el billete es sospechoso, sera rechazado y dara dos avisos audibles. Su valor
no sera adicionado al total actual verificado. El codigo de error correspondiente
al parametro de seguridad sospechoso aparecera en la pantalla, ademas mostrará
"FAILED" y sera rechazado siempre hacia adelante.

• Siga todas las advertencias e instrucciones señaladas en la unidad.

• Este equipo esta destinado a ser operado en un ambiente interior con ventilación adecuada.

• No lo coloque cerca de la luz solar directa, fuentes de calor o acondionadores de aire.

• Este equipo solo debe utilizarse con el cable de alimentación suministrado y debe ser conectada
a la linea de voltaje especificada en este manual. Si usted no esta seguro de la red de su local,
debera consultar su vendedor o su compañia local de energía.

• Para evitar el riesgo de incendio o descarga eléctrica, nunca introduzca objetos en el equipo a
traves de las ranuras o aberturas de la carcasa, ya que pueden tocar puntos de voltaje peligroso. No
desarme la unidad.

• Tener cuidado de no derramar ningun tipo de liquido sobre la unidad.

• Desconecte y/o apague la unidad y llame al servicio técnico en cualquiera de los siguientes
incidentes:
- Cuando el cable de conexión este dañado o gastado*
- En el caso de que se haya derramado liquido sobre la unidad*
- Si la unidad fue expuesta al agua o a la lluvia accidentalmente*
- Si el equipo sufrio alguna caida o alguna de sus cubiertas estan dañada*
- Si la unidad muestra evidentes cambios en su funcionamiento *No cubierto bajo garantia

Si la unidad no opera normalmente a pesar de que se hayan seguido todas las instrucciones, ajuste solo
los controles recomendadas por el manual. El ajuste incorrecto de otros controles puede ocasionar
daños y, a menudo, requerira un trabajo extensivo por parte de un técnico calificado para restablecer el
funcionamiento normal del producto.

 1.Instrucciones de Seguridad
! Advertencia
No use este producto en áreas donde pueda estar expuesto al agua u
otros liquidos.

Desenchufe este equipo de la toma de corriente antes de limpiarlo.

No use limpiadores líquidos o en aerosol. Utilice un paño húmedo
para limpiarlo.

Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, no desarme este equipo.

Llame al personal de servicio calificado cuando se requiera un servicio
o reparación. Si abre o retira las cubiertas puede exponerse a voltajes
peligrosos u otros riesgos. Un reensamblaje incorrecto puede causar una
descarga eléctrica cuando el equipo se usa con posterioridad.

Solo use el cable provisto con la unidad. El uso de otros cables

puede producir descargas eléctricas, incendios o daños graves en el
equipo.

No opere el equipo en áreas con alta temperatura o alta humedad

ya que puede impedir que funcione correctamente.

! Precaución
Cuando desenchufe el cable de alimentación, no hale el cable, sino
agárrelo por el enchufe para extraerlo. No seguir estas instrucciones
puede provocar descargas de electricidad, fuego o daño al equipo.

No use el equipo si el cable de alimentación está dañado o si el enchufe

está conectado. No seguir estas instrucciones puede provocar descargas
eléctricas, incendios u otros peligros.

No coloque objetos pesados ​sobre el cable y no lo doble excesivamente,

Introducción

El verificador de billetes D585 incorpora las más modernas técnicas para la

evaluación y detección de billetes falsos. Esta unidad evalúa detalladamente
los elementos de seguridad que están presentes en cada billete y determina si
