Part 1
The protection of the Environment has always been an important topic that
has been discussed throughout this decade. Hence, the public thought about
new initiative that could help protect the environment.
One of the ideas that was presented was the consumption of less electricity
throughout the day. There are various ways of doing it, such as turning off the
electronic devices while they are not used. For example, computers are some
of the biggest energy users in an office or a house or buying the right light
bulbs which are more effective and consume less.
In addition, a very beneficial initiative would be the usage of greener means of
transport, such as public transport, like the subway or the bus, or bicycles. The
main aim of this type of transportation is to reduce or cut the amount of gas
emission which leads to decrease in pollution rates. Moreover, not even they
are eco-friendly and help to protect the environment, but they are also low-
cost meaning that a lot of money could be saved by using them.
Taking these points into consideration, I would say that the environment needs
to be protected at all costs and the best solution to adopt would be the usage
of greener means of transport, that can have many advantages on the long
term.
Part 2
3.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this report is to outline my experience over the period of the
one month English course in London, which contains intensive lessons,
discussion, film viewings, as well as daily outings.
2. Activities
The trainer of this course is a modern woman who has innovative ideas for the
process of teaching English. One of her ways to teach her students to speak
English freely is debating. After she has chosen a controversial topic, students
will have 30 minutes to search information on the internet, assign the
affirmative and negative sides and make a fair judgement based on it. In
addition, the teacher is organizing countryside trips once a month in order for
her students to practice their speaking with people other than her. On the
other hand, film viewings did not have any impact on our improvement and it
appeared as a waste of time for most of the students.
3. Student-Teacher Relationship
The student-teacher relationship is an important component of both student’s
and teacher’s development. The teacher has managed to establish a positive
relationship with her students, helping them feeling more comfortable and
safe in the classroom environment. Moreover, the students consider the
trainer as one of their friends, treating her with the utmost respect and
kindness.
4. Conclusion
I am pleased to announce that the course had gone smoothly and I can assure
you that it is one a of a higher standard than the other English courses in the
country. However, it must be pointed out that the course could benefit some
major changes, such as coming up with new innovative methods and adding
new, young and open-minded trainers to their team.
