Fashion
- Fashion is most often thought of as a global industry that is invested in anticipating what
we wear and how we wish to appear to others. But fashion isn’t just a business. It’s also a
cultural and social phenomenon, driven by the desire for the new. As such, the industry can
never fully control fashion: fashion is all about being open to change .
STYLE
- Style refers to a person’s particular way of expressing themselves— In the fashion
world, “style” is usually shorthand for “personal style,” or the way an individual
expresses themselves through aesthetic choices such as their clothing, accessories,
hairstyle, and the way they put an outfit together .

FASHION THROUGH YEARS
It is amazing to see how the different events in history have influenced and changed the way
people have dressed throughout time. Some of the most popular fashions are classic, they can
stand the test of time and hardly ever "go out of style", only experiencing minor changes to
keep up with the trends. Other clothing items could be considered "fads", styles that are only
popular for a short season and then never worn again. Often certain fashion trends are
dependent on the tastes of particular groups of people or cliques and are usually associated
with social status or cultural preferences like the type of music a person likes.
80'
The 1980s were a decade of bold style, colors, and silhouettes—and heaping
amounts of permed hair. With trends spanning ripped tights and biker jackets,
polished oversized blazers and poof skirts; and style icons ranging from Joan Jett to
Joan Collins, it was one of the most eclectic decades in fashion. Like it or not, the '80s
are back in full force. From shoulder pads to power suits and all that's in between,
some of the era's key looks are making a comeback in fashion. Get inspired by taking
a look back at some of the most memorable and defining style moments of the
decade.

90'
People used to wear things like flannel shirts, baggy jeans, and combat boots. Other
popular trends include windbreakers, tube tops, and overalls . Also they used to
consider trendy clothes with leopard prints and shirts of random music bands .
The 90s also discovered new styles such as : Grunge and Punk aka "alt" style.

00s
In the year 2000, some of the casual women's and girl's fashion trends were oversized shirts,
sunglasses, aviator sunglasses, oversized hoop earrings, jeans worn for numerous occasions (such
as mid-rise, boot-cut, fabric accents down the sides, fabric accents sewn into the flares, lace-up
sides and tie-dye), wedge flip flops etc . Men's 2000s fashion was a mix of 1980s and 1920s
throwbacks. With black leather jackets, slim cut jeans, overcoats, flannel shirts, V-neck sweaters
and Ed Hardy t-shirts. Dad hats were famous, wayfarer or aviators, motorcycle boots, Vans,

converse or sneakers. Platform shoes were considered very "trendy" and "in" . The most
fashionable colors were pink , purple and blue .
