New collection device or technology support

Accuver XCAL (DRM) support

• Resolved a problem where TSMW Scanner devices were causing Analyzer to crash.

• Corrected units of HTTP throughput values in App_Throughput_DL_Mean to

avoid values being rounded to zero.

DingLi Pilot (DCF) support

• Support has been improved for plotting indoor measurements, using the extended
version of GPS messages, containing message type. Note that there is currently
no ability to position the floorplan image correctly in real-world coordinates or
against a correct scale. The following assumptions have been made to enable the
calculation of the GPS relative to the floorplan image:
o If the floorplan image raster is present in the same folder as the DCF file,
an internal TAB format file will be generated to allow the floorplan to be
loaded as a map layer, containing pixel positions from the GPS messages.
o If the floorplan image raster is not present in the same folder, an internal
TAB format file is only generated and retained only during the file loading
process, and is subsequently deleted. The maximum image size is assumed
to be the maximum pixel x,y position (when no image is available), so
scaling of the map plot might not be as expected.

Freewill AzenQOS (AZM) support

• Support added for WCDMA and LTE Scanners.

• Support added for HSxPA, GMM and SM RRC protocols.

• Support added for WCDMA idle mode measurements.

• Support added for HSxPA testing KPIs.

• Added support for LTE_UE_MAC_Padding_Rate_UL and

LTE_UE_Power_Tx_PUCCH.

• Resolved a problem where an initial limit of 200 columns per database was set.
This limit is no longer enforced.

Huawei GENEX / PHU support

• Support added for Honor Play devices.

Infovista TEMS support

• Resolved a problem in duplicate TEMS_Event mapping of Dropbox Operation
Success and PDSCH 256QAM in Use in the format group.

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 6 of 15

• Support added for new TEMS_Event type added in TEMS 21.1.1:
o TEMSEvent_Radio_Network_Registered

• Resolved a problem where LTE_UE_LL1_RSSI_Ant[3] was being set incorrectly

for Samsung Exynos devices.

• CDMA/EVDO messages logged on IS2000-enabled devices but containing no

usable contents are not shown in the Message Browser.

• Resolved a problem where “message appears too short” is reported in empty

TEMS messages.

• Implemented support for new TEMS Event types:

o EPS RACH Preamble MSG1
o EPS RACH Response MSG2
o EPS RACH UE Identification MSG3
o EPS RACH Contention Resolution MSG4
o EUTRAN RRC B1-NR Event
o EUTRAN RRC B2-NR Event
o NR Beam Failure
o NR Radio Link Failure
o NR Serving SSB Beam Changed
o NR Session Duration

• Resolved the following problems in LTE LL1 CA Cell message decodes when used
with Samsung Exynos devices:
o Showing invalid DL_EARFCN values of 0.
o Reporting CA_Configured carriers, triggering CA_Active by mistake,
creating a discrepancy with LTE_UE_Carrier_Num_DL.
o Reporting per carrier measurements when CA was not active.

Keysight Nemo (NMF) support

• Resolved a problem where badly formed MIB blocks from scanners were
preventing PCI/DL_EARFCN values from being set, impacting Spotlight KPIs.

• Resolved an issue where Event_Task_Cancelled was always being triggered for

streaming tasks where Task_File_Size is unknown.

PCTel SeeGull DTR support

• Resolved a problem where PCI=0 was causing messages to be discarded, resulting
in apparently empty file decodes in some scenarios.

• Resolved a problem where MXflex 2G device was not recognized.

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 7 of 15

• Removed check to enforce scanner load type to be set to full load before decoding
attributes.

• Additional attributes extracted from 5G NR Scan messages:

o NR_Scan_Beam_SSB_CINR_SortedBy_RSRP (individual SSB_CINR
values per beam index)
o NR_Scan_PBCH_RSRP_SortedBy_RSRP (PBCH_RSRP for Beam Index
with the strongest SSB_RSRP, per PCI)
o NR_Scan_PBCH_RSRQ_SortedBy_RSRP (PBCH_RSRQ for Beam Index
with the strongest SSB_RSRP, per PCI)
o NR_Scan_PBCH_CINR_SortedBy_RSRP (PBCH_CINR for Beam Index
with the strongest SSB_RSRP, per PCI)

• Support added for the Blind Scan message (ID 231) for 5GNR, setting attributes:
o NR_Scan_NR_ARFCN
o NR_Scan_RSSI_For_NRARFCN[]

• Support added for the message NR 5G MAC UL Physical Channel Schedule Report
(0xB883) into the Message Browser, setting the attribute NR_UE_MCS_UL.

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 8 of 15

Platform Improvements

Map
• Resolved a problem that caused the map to crash where certain VC++ 2013
runtime distributable libraries were not available.

Message Browser
• Improved event panel contents for 4G/5G events, for TEMS, XCAL DRM and
Qualcomm QXDM formats.

• Improved message type filter options for 4G/5G/Qualcomm 5GNR chipset

messages, for TEMS, XCAL DRM and Qualcomm QXDM formats:

Protocol Stack Browser

• Improved search functionality, to allow synchronization of the message panel to
show the highlighted occurrence of the search string in the top row, avoiding the
need to scroll through the message. If the message is longer than the visible
panel heights, the message panel is scrolled so the highlighted occurrence of the
search string is positioned at the top of the message panel. Subsequent searches
(forwards / backwards) will search within the message first, and then extend the
search to the rest of the stream.

Documentation Changes
• Removed FalconSmart from the File Format Dashboard, as this format is not
widely used. However, Analyzer still supports the FalconSmart format.

• Improvements have been made to attribute help for 5G NR Beam-specific

attributes. NR_UE_Beam_Idx is sorted as sPCell0, and Scells. The
***_SortedBy_RSRP attributes are sorted according to RSRP, so the sPCell may
not always be array position [0].
