After completing each of the tasks, tick the box below to show that you have completed the activity. Complete the work into a Word document and then save your work for submission to your trainer and assessor or for discussion during class time.
Topic 1: Confirming organisational vision and mission

Provide a working example of an organisation within the chosen industry.
Research For the same organisation that you referred to in the previous 1 hour activity, identify the vision and mission and research out how the organisational values support these. Write a brief report outlining the organisational background and the information that you have researched.
Software In order to gain support for the strategic planning process, you will 1 hours Review need good communication skills in both written and verbal situations. Using software to present ideas can support the delivery of information. Select one software that you could use to present the strategic plan. Outline the benefits of using the software and provide a brief overview of the functions and features that can be used to support presenting and communicating information. Provide screen shots, video recordings and evidence to help illustrate the benefits. Find a tutorial that you can use to support your learning. This could be a beginner or advanced tutorial and one that you can use to help formulate a presentation later in the unit.

Research Find a template that you could use for conducting a 1.5 hours PEST analysis and a SWOT analysis. Create your own template that could be used for an organisation. The template must relate to the industry sector of the organisation.

Present the information in report format with background information on the organisation, graphics representing the statistics and an explanation of how these would be useful.
