b) give the function of each hand tool
Network Hand tools and its function:
Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) Cable - most common cable used in computer networking. Number
of twisted-pair wires are often grouped together and enclosed in a protective sheath to form a cable.
RJ-45 Connector - registered jack 45 is an eight-wire connector used to connect computers to
category 5 unshielded twisted pair cables in a network.
Wire Stripper – Used to remove the outer jacket of the wire.
Crimping Tool – used to crimp UTP Cable to RJ45 Connector.
LAN Tester - assists in the installation and control of networks.

D. Discussing new It means that it is a spreadsheet application program included in Microsoft Office and its full
concepts and practicing name is Microsoft Office Excel.
new skills #1
A Microsoft Excel has the standard feature of an electronic spreadsheet which uses cell that are
represented in rows and columns designed to perform basic arithmetic operations.
It is also widely used in accounting and financial applications, as well as in statistics and
engineering calculations.
And the program supports and displays graphs, charts and histograms from a given set of
groups of data.
What is a Worksheet?
That's right!
By entering information in the form of labels, values and formulas into the worksheet cell, you
create tables or spreadsheets, useful for summarizing, tabulating, and analyzing data.
Workbook
Also called a spreadsheet, the workbook is a unique file created by Excel.
Title bar
The title bar displays both the name of the application and the name of the
spreadsheet.
Menu bar/Tabs
The menu bar displays all of the menus available for use in Excel. The contents of any
menu can be displayed by left-clicking the menu name.
Column Headings
Each Excel spreadsheet contains 16384 columns. Each column is named by a letter or
combination of letters.
Row headings
Name box
This shows the address of the current selection or active cell.
Formula Bar
The formula bar displays information entered or being entered as you type in the
current or active cell. The contents of a cell can also be edited in the formula bar.
Cell
A cell is an intersection of a column and row. Each cell has a unique cell address. In
the picture above, the cell address of the selected cell is B2. The heavy border around the
selected cell is called the cell pointer.
Sheet tabs separate a workbook into specific worksheets. A workbook defaults to three
worksheets. A workbook must contain at least one worksheet.
F. Developing mastery Can I have here 3 students who can point out 3 parts of Microsoft Excel and tell its function.

applications of concepts Microsoft Excel.
