other five 160.0 mm (6.30 in) diameter speed and directional clutches
• Compresses clutch spring to allow removal of retaining ring
• Compressing force produced by threaded rod extending through tube and into clutch
shaft (eliminates need for arbor press)
• Large access windows in tube provide ample room to remove retaining ring

• Used to hold discs and plates in position and in alignment with hub spline
on 7- and 8-speed transmissions
• FT1877 Clips used on 769C, 773B, and 777B seven-speed transmissions
• FT1878 Clips used on 657E eight-speed transmissions
• When assembling number seven clutches on 7- and 8-speed transmissions, top
clutch plates and discs are above hub spline; this causes alignment problems when
lowering clutch cover onto stack; clips (3 required) fit over transmission body flange
and top plate

• Aids in removal and installation of servo piston retaining ring found in hydrostatic
transmissions
• Retaining ring virtually inaccessible to pliers, screwdrivers or any other hand tool;
attempting removal or installation without this special tool risks dropping retaining
ring inside transmission where retrieval could require extensive disassembly and
extend repair time by one hour or more
• To remove or install the retaining ring on the pin, the ring must be nested between
the tangs on the 1U-5752 exactly as shown.
• For installation, slide the inner tangs of the 1U-5752 through the pin ring groove
to guide the ring into place.
• For ring removal, the tangs must also pass through the pin groove while forcing ID: ph2, B89253T1
the ring out of the groove. Item Part No. Description

• Used to disassemble and assemble countershaft transmission (all three tools are
required for transmission shaft/clutch assemblies)
• Using proper tooling to assemble and disassemble shaft/clutch assemblies
and seal carriers will reduce component damage and make both procedures
easier and faster
• Used to hold shaft/clutch assemblies after being removed from transmission 4C-8156 Lifting Fixture

• Removal and installation of control valve on H and L Series Track-Type Tractors can be
difficult with transmission in-chassis; FT2233 Transmission Valve Support makes this
operation easier by providing a platform to slide control valve onto when removing it
from transmission
• Once control valve is on FT2233, it can be easily lifted away from tractor
• For installation, control valve can be lifted onto FT2233 and slid back into position
inside transmission
• Support bolts to bottom of transmission cover opening; guide bar aligns control valve
in position for installation and adjusts to accommodate smaller D4H and D5H control
valves; angle irons stiffen plate and prevent control valve from sliding off support

Application Procedure
• First, two 3/4 inch flange mounting bolts from the transmission case are removed at the locations shown in Illustration 3.
• The transmission assembly is lowered in the vertical position onto the jack stands. The 5/8 inch studs of the 1U-9892 Attachment Group pilot
into the two open 3/4 inch flange mounting holes. See Illustration 2. The jack stands should be positioned 120° apart for stability.
• The single 5P-3045 Jack Stand supports the transmission arrangement’s offset transfer gear housing next to the input u-joint flange. See Illustration 3.
• Modifications to existing FT0928 Plate Adapter enable it to be used as oil inlet and outlet adapter plate while bench testing 631E and 637E Scraper transmissions
• Modification does not affect its current use while bench testing 631D, 633D, 637D, 639D and 657B Scraper transmissions
• Modification consists of drilling one new hole and elongating an existing hole
• Required for bench testing D9N (arrangement 7W-7667) and D10N (arrangement 7T-5802)
