An Najah National University Engineering Faculty Industrial Engineering Department

The document summarizes a project to improve the engineering training course process at An-Najah National University. It analyzes the process as both an internal resource management system to satisfy student needs, and an external customer service to enhance student satisfaction. As former students who lacked benefits from the course, the team used feedback to identify a lack of follow-up as the key problem. The document then outlines the developed work procedure and provides recommendations to address the issue.

ENGINEERING TRAINING
COURSE”

¨ Based on our need to improve our processes ,systems

,performance in any organization until we reach the top.
¨ And according to the most unique features of TQM
,namely “Continuous Improvement “.
¨ Our project specifically focused on the engineering
training course as a complete process -in an najah
university –to be improved.
Overall Description
3

¨ We put some suggestions to improve the training

process , and we represent all these suggestions in a
work instruction that can be considered as a part of
ISO:9001:2OO8 system.
¨ This work instruction is particularly a translation of
certain requirements in ISO system.
¨ If we considered engineering students as internal
customers for an najah university
Overall Description
4

¨ The work instruction that we have improved can be

classified as a translation for the following requirement:

6.Resource Management

6.2 Human resources

real value of the training course –which is an
course-and be qualified with high competence in
the practical field.

Overall Description
9

¨ As our team is a sample of these external customers

who are the end users of the output of training
course..we can easily get feedback from external
customer about the problem we are dealing with…

¨ Most of us had this course at the last summer course

¨ We asked our selves “do we have be benefited from

training??”
Overall Description
10

¨ The answer was uniformed as to be “NO ”, and just in

some cases the answer was “ yes ,but not as required”..
¨ It is important to mention here that we asked other
engineering students in other departments ,and we had
got the same results..
¨ The reasons for these results can be summarized in one
point:
There is no real follow-up.
