You are asked to design a permanent magnet AC machine (motor) for an

electric vehicle. Vehicle four wheels are powered by one motor. The vehicle

weight is 1,800kg. This vehicle should be able to increase its speed linearly

from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds. Assume vehicle tire diameter is 72cm, vehicle

transmission have a fixed gear ratio of 1/9 (motor to drive shaft), the input

battery voltage is 300V.
