TESTING & COMMISSIONING PROCEDURE

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED PRIOR TO TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF CHILLED AND CONDENSER PUMPS
1 Calibration certificate of clampmeter, tachometer and insulation tester
2 Testing and commissioning form.

START-UP CHECKLIST FOR PACO PUMPS


Before starting the equipment, check the following:
1 Check availability of permanent power prior to starting the pump.
2 Check availability of sufficient water supply prior to running of pump.
3 Check all pertinent data prior to testing ( capacity in terms of gpm or lps, head in terms of feet
or meters, motor rating, electric data as per name plate: power input, kw or HP, voltage, V;
frequency, Hz; phase; FLA)
4 Suction and Discharge valves condition
5 Suction and Discharge gauges
6 Check the alignment of the pump and motor
7 Check the motor rotation

TESTING PROCEDURE OF PACO PUMPS

1 Conduct megger reading for each pump motor. (Isolate if the controller is VFD)
2 Configure the motor data to the VFD, once completed, start-the pump based on
the desired speed.
3 Obtain pressure reading by means of suction and discharge gauges (psi), first at
fully-closed valve then at fully open valve
4 Obtain a reading on line voltage: Line 1-2, Line 2-3, Line 3-1 by the aid of a clamp meter
to verify the voltage rating.
5 Obtain ampere reading: Line 1-2, Line 2-3, Line 3-1 by the aid of a clamp meter to check if it is
within the range of the FLA of the motor.
6 Obtain capacity in terms of gpm by plotting the acquired TDH in the pressure gauges
to the performace curve of each pump.
