LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to give a short sequence of basic instructions related to body parts
M correctly.
C At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to listen to the chant and point to their relevant body parts correctly.
1. Write Toys in the centre of the board and elicit all the ones pupils can remember.
I. PRE-LESSON 2. Mime a robot if pupils don’t give you this word.
3. Tell the class that this unit is about a robot.
1. Activity 1:
Hold up each flashcard in turn and point to the part of your body. Say the word for pupils to
repeat in chorus. Then, hold up each flashcard for pupils to say the word in chorus and point
to the part of their body. Stick the flashcards on the board to create a bubble map.
2. Activity 2:
Pupils look at the picture.(SB pg 94) Elicit what they can see. Play the recording. Pupils
point to the pictures when they hear them and repeat the words. Pupils practise pointing and
naming in pairs.

3. Activity 3:
DEVELOPMENT
Put up a chant chart on the board. Play the recording. Pupils listen and follow. Do the chant
as a class and then in groups. Make eight groups. Each group is a part of the body.
Pupils do the chant again, standing up and pointing to the relevant body part when they
chant it.
4. Activity 4:
Play a game with the pupils. Give a sequence of instructions. e.g Point to your head. Point to
your toes. Pupils listen and point to the relevant body parts. Pupils do the same activity in
groups. Pupils take turns to give instructions.
1. Distribute worksheets.
III. POST LESSON 2. Pupils cut out each word and match it to the correct body part.
3. Check with the class.
