The Three Dimensions of Prayer

Introduction
Revelation 5:9-10
And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; For You
were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your Blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and
nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.
We have two roles of functioning and we need are supposed to have a full understanding and
revelation of our functionality

- As priests
- As kings

If we don’t get this, we will never reign as declares the Bible. If we are not reigning, it means the devil
is winning somewhere in our lives.
We don’t beat the air in prayer. We function in our various roles in the place of prayer.
Psalm 103:1-13
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him.

We should not just be as the children of Israel who expected God’s acts only but as Moses who knew
His ways. When we know His acts only, we can experience blessings but when we know His ways, we
can produce the acts that produce the blessings.
There is a secret mystery to manifesting God’s acts that produce regular blessings in our lives and our
prayers are constantly answered.

When we know the ways of God, as we step into the place of prayers, we know already that our
prayers have been answered. We will get 100% results in every prayer we make.

 Jesus Teaching on Prayer

There are three approaches Jesus taught us in the place of prayer and in all these three approaches, He
never mentioned prayer as warfare.

- Approaching God as Father

- Approaching God as Friend
- Approaching God as Judge

Each of these dimensions open up a spiritual realm each time we step into the place of prayer.
Immediately we step into the place of prayer we are opening up by faith any of these spiritual
dimensions.
Realities to Note

- Although we are here on earth, simultaneously, we are seated in heaven, and we know this by
faith.
Eph. 2vs4-7
- Jesus talking with Nicodemus was explaining He was living in two dimensions at the same
time.
John 3:13
No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man
who is in heaven.
- Elijah
1 Kings 17:1
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD God of
Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my
word."
- Jesus went to prepare a place for us and we are already with Him not when we will die.
John 14:2
In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you.
John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that
where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:4
And where I go you know, and the way you know."
 Jesus was saying as He dies and resurrects, He will open up dimensions so we can step into
them and shift things to manifest in the natural.
 It is actually stepping into a spiritual dimension and into interaction with God and all that is in
that spiritual dimension. Then we see things shift according to Divine order then God’s will
can come out of heaven and be done on the earth.

APPROCHING GOD AS FATHER

Luke 11:1-2

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples
said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples."
So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your
kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
When we approach God as Father, there is a spiritual dimension which opens where we are supposed
to function in. that dimension is called The Throne of Grace.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need.

As we step up to pray, this dimension opens up when we approach Him as Father and there we are
laying petitions concerning our needs. Somehow personal prayer times for personal needs. Mandates
for personal, family, ministry etc.
We are receiving mercy and grace for our needs.

Luke 11:11-13
If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish,
will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?
Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your
heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

For our prayers to be answered here, we need to have a revelation of Who The Father is and The
Riches in His Glory.

- Having a revelation of The Father

Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of
adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

Galatians 4:4-7
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born
under the law,
to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying
out, "Abba, Father!"
Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
 Abba Father – my source, my sustainer.

We need to have a revelation of the goodness of The Father that causes us to make petitions for our
needs and even ask much more than we expect.

Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the
power that works in us,to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and
ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:19-20
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

These are not mere confessions but revelations we need to soak ourselves into before and while we
pray.
When we make confessions, it does have impact only based on our level of revelation of what we are
confessing.

 Never pray from earth, always pray from heaven. Prayer is a realm and dimension of
interaction with God.
 We are not trying to convince God to move, rather, we are moving with God to move things in
the spirit realm so that everything He wants done can be made manifest on earth.

APPROACHING GOD AS A FRIEND

Luke 11:5-8
And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him,
'Friend, lend me three loaves;
for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him';
and he will answer from within and say, 'Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are
with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you'?
I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his
persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

Jesus is not saying here we have a reluctant God who wants to delay answers to our prayers but if a
natural friend can do this how much more can we get from Him when we approach Him to get
something done in the lives of others.
Because when we approach God as friend, we are going for the sake of another. This is the position of
an intercessor. Either for individuals, or nations.

When we approach God as a Friend here, we are opening up a different realm called The
sod(Counsel) of the Lord.

Jeremiah 23:18
For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, And has perceived and heard His word? Who has
marked His word and heard it?

In the counsel of the Lord, we can make decisions, negotiations, agreements in the spirit for the things
on earth.

- Case study of Abraham making decisions, arguments – interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah.

APPOACHING GOD AS JUDGE

Luke 18:1-8
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
saying: "There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.
Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, 'Get justice for me from my
adversary.'
And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, 'Though I do not fear God nor
regard man,
yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me."'
Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said.
And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with
them?
I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really
find faith on the earth?"

We ought to pray and not lose heart, here, there is the greatest secret that gets prayers answered
speedily. Sometimes almost instantly for things we have been praying for years.

When we pray in this dimension, we are coming before God as a judge and entering a spiritual
dimension called The Courts of Heaven.

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom
he may devour.

The devil does not devour except he has a right that gives him to devour us.

Revelation 12:10
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our
God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before
our God day and night, has been cast down.

The reason the devil goes around like a roaring lion is to seek for reasons, proves that he can use
against us in the courts.
That is why we can pray over and over, feel the Holy Ghost, do all the faith confessions we know in
the world but things don’t go because the accuser has things against us in the courts that we need to
clear up.
Sometimes we have delays in our lives and we start fainting, thinking it’s not God’s time and start
giving ourselves excuses why the prayers are seized.
It is most times because the devil has a legal case or legal cases against us in the court.
The devil functions in our lives legally and illegally. When he comes in illegally, we don’t waste time,
we cast him out, but when he functions legally, we need to enter the courts and resolve the matter.

What Gives the devil Legal Rights Over Our Lives

Ps. 32, Ps. 51 David talks of Sin, iniquity and transgression.
 Sin – to miss the mark, the intents of the heart, our motives Job 1 and 2. The accuser brought a
case against Job based on Jobs motives. Why was Job serving God?
Jobs motives was that He gives offering to God to cover the sins of his sons and not
giving to God for God is good and has blessed him.
 So our giving speaks for us in the courts of heaven. Heb. 7vs8
 Your giving has a testimony attached to it
 Don’t give from a wrong heart if not the enemy will accuse you of wrong motives.
 Many people say I gave an offering and things got worse. Trying to bribe God
We are supposed to do the right things for the right reason.

 Iniquity, covenants with demonic powers in our Bloodline
 It is the sin of the bloodline
- It gives the enemy a legal right to temp you in a given area
- It will fashion your identity and the way you think about yourself
a. the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled
with smoke. 5 "Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live
among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty." 6

Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with
tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your
lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for." 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord
saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" 9
He said, "Go and tell this people: Isa 6:4-9
- It will turn you away from your destiny – Ps. 139vs16
The day you were born, you were not just a small baby who entered into this world but a
scroll that landed from heaven
The issue is you landed in a body connected to a bloodline
Then the enemy use the bloodline to which you are connected to detour you from your
destiny and from what was intent from heaven.
i. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own
sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead
of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. John 10:3-4
1. I call them by name = identity
2. I will lead them out = Destiny
- It is used by the enemy to make a case against us in the Courts of Heaven

2Sam. 21
David breaking the curse from the covenant Saul broke with the Gibeonites that brought 3
years of famine. Then the famine went away after they prayed three years.

 Anytime you face resistance in the place of prayer, pull out, find out anything that is blocking
the prayer, anything the enemy is using against us in the courts of heaven.
 When praying, lay your life down and expose your bloodline upto Jesus right upto much as
you can remember in both parents and then Adam.
 The Holy spirit will expose to you many times things wrong that we don’t know.
 Words
- Negative words we speak about ourselves
- Negative words of those who have spiritual and positional authority over us spoken against us
and also those bound to us by covenants – pastors, parents, church, husbands, wives, children,
partners, friends etc

 Motives of the heart a. Job – punitive damages restore 4x or 7x
 Unforgiveness (being a merciful person so we can receive mercy) because judgment without
mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!
James 2:13
 Covenant with demons – from past generations (sacrifices, etc)
 Contacts in the spirit realm – agreements made… if you do this, I’ll do this (vows with
demons) a. Masonry, sororities, fraternities, secret societies b. Eastern Star
 Dedication in spirit realm – Alters to demonic Gods
 Making trades – exchanging sacrifices, blood, offerings… for power. He became sin for us
that we might become the righteousness of God. Esau traded birthright for porridge. "You
were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of
God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 15 You were perfect in your
ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. 16 "By the abundance of
your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as
a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From
the midst of the fiery stones. Ezek 28:14-16

He uses a lot of things as evidence to make his case. That is why we can pray and experience the touch
of God and still don’t get our breakthrough. Not because the touch is not real but the adversary still
has many things against us making the touch not have its effects.
What areas of life can we handle in the courts of Heaven?
Isaiah 43:26 - Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be
acquitted.

- Destiny
- Nations
- Church (Assembly, Body of Christ)
- Finances
- Deliverance
- Healing
- Resetting time/restoration
Guideline to Pray in the Courts of Heaven – everything starts by Faith, but expect open visions,
transportation and discernment.
1. Enter His gates with thanksgiving in your heart and courts with praise
- Remember you have a target and you don’t have prayer points/list
2. Come by the Blood
3. Create an atmosphere of glory with worship and possibly praying in tongues.
4. Repent – you don’t deny what the devil has against you. You agree then you repent of it. For
sin, transgressions or iniquities etc.
- Specifics can pop up in your spirit, just repent of them or let them go.
- Deal with any offences
- Deal with generational sins and curses
5. Ask for mercy and grace
6. Plead your case and ask the court to judge in your favor
7. Take your seat and authority as king
8. Receive a release and anointing
9. Kingly decrees
