NATIONAL DRUG EDUCATION PROGRAM NARRATIVE/ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Relative to DepEd Memorandum No. 200, s. 2016 re: Submission of Monthly Accomplishment Report on National Drug Education
Program (NDEP), our school Head Ma’am Aida D. Verdillo instructed us to comply and strengthen the implementation of this program to
create awareness on the ill effects of abusing drugs and to develop among our students positive behavior and skills to resist drugs. On the
month of January, due to this pandemic, the planned Symposium on Drug Education was not accomplished for face to face gatherings are not
advisable. And since our kind of teaching modality is Modular, we are obliged to reach out to our students through home visitation to
monitor our students and consult parents regarding their children’s learning in this new normal, and in response to this Drug Education
program, we are also conducting lectures with regards to the effects of drug addiction into the society and general well-being.
One of the activities which is on-going is the “Gardening promoting Gulayan sa aming munting Tahanan or Home Gardening” to keep
our students active and busy by using their free time productive, creative and enjoyable with the assistance of their parents to develop
among them positive behavior and life-skills to resist drugs and make them become responsive individual in coping and adapting in this trying
times. Grade 12 and Grade 11 students are doing this in their respective home in response to their performance related to their subject. It’s
not just for the learner but for the whole family to promote and improve the engagement of every learner in planting as well as building a
clean and green environment through gardening and to promote organic farming to grow plants which have nutritional values with least
impact on nature and promote healthy living.
