Narrative of Dry Run Simulation

Sto. Niño Elementary School conducted a simulation of distributing and retrieving learning modules on September 23, 2020 to prepare for the upcoming school year. The simulation tested health and safety protocols like temperature checks, contact tracing, and social distancing. Parents followed the assigned pickup times and locations to receive modules. During the module retrieval, parents also adhered to the protocols. The success of modular learning relies on all parties strictly following COVID-19 prevention measures to keep the school safe.

NARRATIVE REPORT IN SIMULATION ON DISTRIBUTION

AND RETRIEVAL OF LEARNING MODULES

The schools of the entire country in the new normal have come to an abrupt changes
due to this time of pandemic. The simulation / dry run of giving and retrieving of modules was crafted
by the Departement of Education that will depict the real scenario of what will happen in the opening
of classes on October 5,2020.

Sto.Niňo Elementary School has done some preparations for the upcoming opening of classes
like printing of modules, crafting Learning Continuity Plan, Studying Learning Delivery Modalities 2
and more. The teachers headed by the School Principal Eugenio A. Manarang III, conducted a dry
run/ simulation last September 23,2020 in the school premises through the modality of Modular
Distance Leaning – Print (MDL-Print).

The prelimenaries were done such as the activities of health protocols-handwashing, foot
bathing, taking of body temperature through thermal scanner, logbooks of parents for contact tracing
to be followed by the staff and parents.

By the start of the activity the parents must go to the asigned place where they will get the
modules while following the minimum health and safety protocols such as social distancing from
other parents, wearing of face masks and faceshields, with the markers printed at the gates and
hallways the parents must be guided though distancing and getting ready for the pick up of modules.

It is observed that the parents followed the protocols and they arrived at their assigned time of
pick-up. During the retrieval, the parents were also present and they follow process easily .

It is observed that the success of our collaboration efforts lies only in the hands of the persons
who are responsible following the strict health protocols in making a COVID free school.Attached
herewith are the pictorials of the said simulation/dry run.
