    I. Essay items. 10 points per item.

    a) Define Obligation and enumerate the sources of obligation.

    b) What are the grounds(causes) for liabilities or damages?

    c) What are the instances wherein the debtor is still liable even if the thing is lost due to
    fortuitous event?

    d) General rule: no demand, no delay. When is demand not needed but the debtor still incurs a
    delay?

    e) A promised to give B P1,000,000 if B passes the bar. Pending the results of the bar. A’s
    money is destroyed by fire, not imputable to A. When B passes the bar, does A still have to
    give him P1,000,000? (5 points)

    ________________7. The happening of the condition extinguishes the obligations for rights.
    ________________8.A condition where the happening of the future and uncertain event is
    dependent upon the sole will of the debtor.
    ________________9. A delay in performing the prestation to do.
    ________________10. The happening of the condition or event gives rise to the obligation.
