Journal is a diary, A

record transaction .
JOURNAL AS A
DIARY
The book of blank papers we write on it, but it's a book we write our
thoughts on it. We write our thoughts as a simple writing or for fun.

3. for reflect own self
4. For future planning

In Journal diary we write our thought . We write


about our daily events and documents our ideas .

For fun journals we write our own ideas .it helps us for
imaginative and creative

For daily events we write our daily events like who we talk,
which food is my favorite, what I broke etc.

thoughts, feeling and events. And reflect on it

For future planning we write our planning for future reference.

The ‘Date’ column shows the date
of transaction. It should be noted
that all the transactions are to be
recorded in the journal in the
chronological order.

Particulars

In ‘Particulars’ column, the


accounts which are to be debited
and credited are written. The
account to be debited is written in
the first row following the word
towards the end of the row.
Leaving sufficient margin on the
left side in the next row, the
account to be credited is written
and prefixed with the word ‘To’. A
brief description of the transaction

is written below the credited
account. This description prefixed
with ‘Being’ or ‘For’, is known as
narration and is given in the
brackets after writing these two
types of accounts.

Ledger Folio (L.F.):

Folio means page and the ledger


folio means page number of ledger.
In this column, page number of
ledger on which debit and credit
items are posted is written. In
practical accounting, this column is
very useful for cross-checking and

enterprise.

Debit record:

In this column, the amount of the


debit account is written. At the top
of this column, the unit of
measurement of monetary
transactions written.
