CLASS MA 6 Test 1 Second term
Teacher MOFA/ Puwa Calvin
PART A: STATICS
Given the clamp oppositely articulated in C:
1- Isolate the identified body (3) and produce bill of external forces.
2- Isolate the body (2) and produce bill table of external forces.
3- Determine algebraically mechanical actions(forces) in C, B and D.
PART B: KINEMATICS
The drawing below shows the upper mechanism of a aerial platform mounted on a truck, intended
for the elevation of staff
1- What is the nature of the movement of the arm (1) in relation to the frame (0)?
2- What is the nature of the movement of the body (5) in relation to the body (6) when the cylinder
is powered?
3- What is the nature of the body's movement (6) in relation to frame (0) when the cylinder is
powered?
4- Deduce the nature of the movement of the body (5) in relation to the frame (0).
5- The amplitude of movement is 120 °, the angular speed of the rotation of (1) around point A is:
ω = 0.5 rad / s and the distance AB = 2.125m.
5.1- Determine and set up 𝑣𝐵1/0 .
5.2- Determine the angular acceleration 𝜃̈ and deduce from it linear acceleration 𝛾𝐵1/0.
5.3- Determine the duration of lifting of the arm (1) to its maximum.
5.4- Write the hourly parametric equation of the movement of the body (1).
