Project members need to know how to avoid the dangers of scope creep. Scope
inappropriate change to the announced project duration and cost. In most programs,
unplanned conditions are a significant driving factor that results in scope creep. In the
above case study, problems were found one after the other, which resulted in
postponed decisions, as a result of which Nelsons had to pay a significant cost for the
bathtub installation. The goal and requirement of Nelson's bathtub installation became
such an uncontrolled shifting aim that there was no simple concept of what was deemed
complete and the project descended into unmanageable and budgetary chaos. In
Nelson’s case, instead of plain bathtubs, they continued to incorporate extra items
Based on my opinion, this was a good scope creep because, in the long run, all
the investment they are putting into the project will pay off in the end. These changed

3. How could scope creep have been better managed by the Nelsons?
In some aspects, Nelson could have done better in planning the project overall
and doing his homework. He could have used some project management strategies in
planning the overall outcome of the project which could result in a better scope creep.
He could have done a better job staying within the project budget and meeting the
deadlines.
