Introduction

ELECTRONIC SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Page 1

1.1Introduction to system
The software project is initiated by the client needs. In the beginning, these needs
are in the minds of various people in the client organization. The requirement analyst has
to identify the requirements by talking to these people and understanding their needs. For
such systems, the requirements problem is complicated by the fact that the needs and
requirements of the system many not to be known even to the user-they have to be
visualized and created. Hence, identifying requirements necessarily involves specifying
what some people have in their minds. When inputs from multiple people are to be
gathered, as is often the case, these inputs are likely to be inconsistent as well.

Electronic Shop Management System helps Electronic showrooms owners

and management staff by producing different kind of financial and Inventory tracking
reports etc. This software is able to manage all electronic Goods i.e
 LCD/LED TV’s
 Radio, DVD Players.
 Fridge.
 DTH Services.
 AC , Mixer.
 Home Theatre’s etc.
 In this software ,shop owner can manage the data of customers and buyers. Also
transaction information and government charges etc.
This Software Requirements Specification provides a complete description of
all the functions and specifications of the Electronic shop management system.
This Software Package allows to view the details of the sales and purchase
details. It contain the information of the stocks and complaints.
Customer, Products, Billing Generation: Automate the current manual bill
generation system and maintain the searchable customer, products database and product
invoice, maintain the data security, user rights. Report Generation: A Report Generation
system will be developed forthe user and management of eBilling and Invoicing System.
This system will have both details and summary type reports for analysis the sales
volume, sales trend, and available stock.

1.2 Existing system

 Due to manual transaction the details of the customer becomes redundant.

 Sometimes the important information is lost when the files are misplaced.
 The situation becomes mess & the reputation of the bureau also goes down.
 It also becomes difficult to find perfect matching couples which leads to unsatisfied
customers.
 The long duration of transaction leads to wastage of time. The records of payment of
customer and availability of Electronic accessories in the register. The records of
payment of customer and availability of Laptop accessories in the register.
ELECTRONIC SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Page 3
 In the register each page is maintained for individual customer. There are number of
daily activities carried out by organization and for ach activity or the process, it’s
difficult to maintain records manually.

 To existing system is time consuming and very complex almost in every job like
make an invoice, keep records of payments, pending orders etc.

1.3 NeedoF system

2.1 Feasibilty Study

Information Gathering

As already discussed above this is the user to Jewellery system. During

data gathering phase of this web system reference of many existing shop sites. Evaluate
forms distribution to specify what details required from the system and to whom the
forms are distributed.

Observe users who are using this system and find out the some insight basic problem
areas.

If the analysis is sensitive to the needs and fears of the user, this technique can prove to
be the most important in the data collection phase.

System Feasibility :-

A feasibility study is conducted top select the best system that meets
performance requirement. This identification description. The system required
performance is define by a statement of constraints, the identification of specific system
objective and a description of outputs.

 Technical Feasibility
As the existing system is manual it can support the proposed system to the full extent.
Operation of the proposed application will require a new hardware since the existing
system is manual.

ELECTRONIC SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Page 8

 Economic Feasibility
Since the organization has a good financial background and enough amounts of funds
there will be no problem in developing a new System and maintaining it. Thus the new
system will definitely prove to be economically.

 Operational Feasibility
The operating staff needs to provide training on new proposed system with the various
processes and the application. The proposed system is also going to provide similar
outputs, so there is no resistance from the operational staff. Therefore, the proposed
system is operational feasible.

i. Economical-

Hardware’s used in project are –p4 processor 1.8 MHz, 256 MB RAM.80

5.1 SystemTesting

ELECTRONIC SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Page 30

Once the coding complete, we began program testing with the intent of finding
the errors and checking whether the conditions, requirements, specifications and more
importantly the purpose of the system have been fulfilled or not.

 Black box testing:-

Black box testing involves only the functional testing of the components for
certain input values, and it doesn’t involve code testing
It also called as “Behavioral testing”.

 White Box Testing:-

White box testing involves the complete knowledge of internal structure of
source code can be used to find the number of test cases required to guarantee
to given level of test coverage.
It is error base testing.
It also called as “Glassbox testing”.
