Article 2; Period 3

28 January 2021

Because of you guys, I am stuck in my room

The author called Kristin Lin in the article, Because of you guys, I am stuck in my room

persuades of how Covid-19 is affecting many people and she is telling us about residents’ lives

during the pandemic. Lin supports her argument by using rhetorical appeals such as logos and

ethos and using stories from residents during the pandemic. The author’s purpose is to provide

examples so that the audience can learn life lessons from these examples and inform her

audience of what the pandemic had done to these people. The author writes in a formal tone for

her audience of all ages who are experiencing the pandemic and want to know more about what

is happening to people during this time period.
